The next morning, after waking up multiple times, screaming, I decided to go on a walk. Peeta slept with me last night. Not like...sex-we haven't done that, he just slept in my bed. Mom and Dad came in for every nightmare.

I didn't put on a disguise. I let my hair flow and I wear a sky blue dress with spaghetti straps, and white flats. People bow to me and wave, smiling. They've got some new appreciation for me because I saved them. Everything is normal in the kingdom. I pass homes and shops. I even stop and get some fruit. Nobody came with me, which makes me happy. Mom was reluctant to let me go but I promised I would be coming back.

I walk down the cobblestone road, and then I hear yelling.

"Pick it up!" A man screams. A front door is open and there is a girl who is probably nine or ten who is running around outside, cleaning things, and then she starts laundry, crying.

The man leaves. I notice she has a bruise on her cheek.

I hesitate before approaching her. "Are you okay?" I ask. She shrugs.

"He's just-oh my, your highness! I'm so sorry, I didn't even know it was you."

I smile. "It's okay." I say. "He hit you?" Tears slips down her cheeks.

"He always hits me. I tried to run away once, but he beat me so badly I nearly died."

"Where's your mother?" I ask.

She sighs. "The queen-not your mom, but Regina-she killed her a couple years back."

"Does your eye hurt?" I ask. She nods.

"Yes, but I'm used to it."

"Here, let me help." I say. She looks up at me and I wave my hand in front of her face, healing the wound.

"What are you doing?" The man seethes, walking over to us. "Your highness she isn't worth the help." He says rudely. He's being completely rude and disrespectful. "She's the cleaning lady."

"She's your daughter, and I'm pretty sure you are quite capable of cleaning things too."

"And you have power over this kingdom. I'm pretty sure you are quiet capable of taking care of these issues."

I raise my eyebrows.

"Don't talk to her like that, Father!" His daughter says.

And then his hand comes down on my cheek.

People start to run, and in a matter of seconds, guards have taken the man, and Dad comes rushing.

"He hit you?" He asks.

"I'm okay. I got him angry and-"

"But he hit you." Mom gently reminds me. She was right behind him apparently.

"Let's get you cleaned up. Come on sweetie, you need a home too. Come with us." Mom says. She puts on arm around me and the other around the little girl.

I love my family.

This is my shitty ending. I'm sorry but I'm having issues with this story and a lot of people don't get it. Don't worry, I'm going to a new story.
