Spencer sat on the jet looking at his phone. The latest case had been in Georgia and had taken three days. He wondered if it was too late to call or if she forgot about him.

Nervous , he pressed call , waiting for her to answer. He fidgeted in his seat as he waited.

"Hello"

"H-hi I don't think you'd reme-"

"Coffee guy with good taste in books. How could I forget" she laughed lightly over the phone. "Calling to make it up to me?".

Spencer let out a sigh in relief that she remembered him." Yes actually I am. How does dinner sound" he asked quickly.

"Do you like Italian?"

June smiled as she listened to Spencer over the phone. He was cute and definitely not her type. But she was still interested.

After confirming their plans and deciding where to meet up he hung up after saying goodbye.

She squealed in excitement , practically bouncing on her feet. Tomorrow seemed like a life time away.

She dressed casual yet smart since the restaurant wasn't fancy and she didn't want to scare him off.

Spencer rushed out of work as soon as the plane landed after telling his team he was too tired to celebrate. Ignoring there worried glances.

He saw June from across the street , waiting outside the restaurant. She wasn't very dressed up for the occasion , secretly glad because he just came off a plane himself. Lucky for him she looked just as nervous as he was.

He looked both ways before crossing the street. "Heyyy" .

June turned to look at him with a smile. "You actually came " she sighed in relief. "I thought you would be too busy".

" I just got off work" Spencer answered , opening the door as they walked into the restaurant.

They sat at their table in the corner , both to nervous to speak. June tried to think of a conversation started "D-did you know that kissing is more hygienic than shaking hands".

Spencer burst out laughing hysterically. " normally I'm the one that says that".

"Statistics is a hobby of mine".

" Pretty boy , what's got you smiling this early" teased Derek Morgan as Spencer entered the bullpen. "All smiled and sunshine".

" just happy" Spencer answered sipping his coffee. His desk was now piled with paperwork from the last case. He kept glancing at his phone , waiting for a text from June. Their date had been great. He know knew she was a prima ballerina and he told her about being a profiler for the BAU. Which she actually already knew what it does since she studied criminology in college. She said she would talk to him soon after they left to go home.

"Who's happy" Prentiss asked walking towards her desk to do her own paperwork.

"Pretty Boy's keeping secrets" Derek answered. Spencer looked up from his paperwork.

"Am not"

"Are to"

"Are not"

"Are t-"

"Boys enough" Prentiss teased , throwing her pen at Derek before turning to look at Spencer. "So what's got you happy then?".

" I found a good book" he lied , greatful that knew how to lie successfully to a room full of profilers.

Derek groaned "kid you need to socialize more".

His phone finally binged two hours later. He quickly snatched it off his desk to read it , smiling.

What is the statistic that we go on a second date????

Spencer glanced around to see if anyone was looking before typing a response.

100%. How does Friday sound?

He got a reply almost instantly.

Sounds great

"Pretty boy , your doing it again" Derek smirked. Prentiss looked up at both of them. "And this time at your phone".

" must be a good book"
