Despite spencer and June's talks and excitement on the baby spencer still didn't see much of her. Although at least now he knew where they stood. She was dancing more that she used to which he associated with her distracting herself from the kidnapping.
Spencer himself was busy with new cases. So whatever time they had together was mostly spend asleep.
Coming back from the most recent case in Chicago he was excited to go home. Knowing that they both had the day off tomorrow to spend together. Tomorrow would be spend with June, shopping for the baby and hopefully starting to move in together.
Both agreed that since June's loft was bigger and actually had room for all his books that they would both live there. At least for now.
The one odd thing was the amount of pasta rossi kept sending him home with and the increase of invites to hang out from Morgan. But he wasn't gonna turn down free food or time with his best friend.
Out of everyone hotch was acting the most normal. Since penelope was baby crazed and practically waiting for spencer and June to announce the baby to everyone who didn't already know. Mostly hotch and Emily since jj was still suspended until after Christmas, and June's boss which he knew for a fact she was hiding from him by wearing loose jumpers or covering the baby bump with dark coloured wrap skirts. Although it wouldn't last for much longer since she was starting to show more.
He was walking with a bounce in his step as he walked back to the office with the team to drop stuff off at his desk and go home.
"ZOOOOOOM"
"What the hell" Morgan asked stunned as he stepped off the elevator. The other members of the team following behind him.
"remind me to have her drug tested" hotch stated raising an eyebrow in question. Staring at the two women in the bullpen.
"3, 2,1.... GO" June shouted using her hands on spencer's desk to make the chair spin as fast as she could. Garcia doing the same and laughing hysterically.
The team watched amused as both women quickly stumbled out of their chair and moved to clumsily complete their self made obstacle course by jumping over chains of paperclips on the floor to doing hopscotch on sticky notes and finally climbing onto the break room counters to touch the ceiling and then doing the course backwards to see who could reach spencer or Morgan's desk first.
Both giggling uncontrollable as they slammed their hands on the desk screaming "WINNER" before collapsing back into the chairs.
"and just what so you two think your doing" rossi teased making them both freeze at being caught.
"umm... Office Olympics part 7" Garcia answered as June nodded her head in agreement. "just a little light workout".
"Mmhh and who's idea was this" hotch asked crossing him arms. Just at that moment the doors crashed open and a happy red faced Anderson puffed through with arms filled with random office supplies.
"HEY GUYS I FOUND MO-"
"Shhhh" both Garcia and June hissed finally making the man look up and freeze at the sight of his boss.
"You were in on this to" hotch reprimanded.
Garcia quickly took her chance and wheeled over to June, the rest of the team still watching. "we need a distraction" Garcia whispered to the ballerina watching the exchange between hotch and Anderson.
"or we could just act casual and wheel away" June whispered back nodding to the elevator behind the other agents since hotch was currently busy he wouldn't see. "I say we take our chances".
"I have to work here I can't just wheel away in the dead of night in coco gods chair. They're gonna ask me about it tomorrow when I wheel back in,
" I can't think of anything "June argued." it's not like we can hide the evidence ".
" and just what do you two have to say for yourselves" hotch asked the two turning to look and then sternly.
"ahhh"
"ummm"
"welllll"
Both women glanced at each other begging the other to say something to get them out of the situation.
"Spencer impregnated me"
"I was counting the office supplies"
They both said simultaneously leaning back in their seats and waiting to be scolded like Anderson.
"actually ignore that last part.... I was helping to find any loose paperclips" June added.
"why do I get dragged into this" Spencer chuckled next to Morgan.
"because your the one how did this to me" juned glared back playfully. "quick wheel while you have the chance" she whispered to Garcia.
"awww guys congratulations" Emily squealed pushing past a stunned hotch to hug the brunette as the technical analyst wheeled towards Morgan and spencer.
"well I know my paperclip detection is amazing but I didn't think you'd appreciate it this much" June muttered.
"congratulations you two" hotch said giving one of his rare smiles.
"thanks" Spencer smiled getting a clap on the back from Morgan who was two busy smirking at rossi.
"yes it really is wonderful news" rossi smiled aslo moving to hug June.
"HA" Spencer shouted gleefully. "now you have to tell your boss too". He smiled looking at her.
