Spencer stood in the middle of the living room silently as police officer came and left June's loft. Police lights streaming on through the windows coming the place in streams of blue and red. His eyes were glued to the bloody handprint coating the light green walls slowing following the trail down the hallway.

"Reid" Morgan called snapping him out of his head. "Reid" he said louder finally gaining the man's attention when he grabbed him by the shoulders to look at him.

"I thought she was angry at me" Spencer told him worriedly."she didn't answer my calls for two days and I just thought she was angry not missing" he was more frantic this time. Trying to explain himself. "The statistics say that the chance are lower after t-"

"Hey man snap out of it" Morgan shook him too regain his attention as the rest of the team arrived.

"But I knew she fit the victimology profile I could have said something" he tried only to be could off my Rossi.

"We don't got time for that now kid. We have work to do and a profile to fix" the Italian agent said beside hotch as the looked around the room.

"Reid you know this place best. Is anything missing or been moved that you can remember"hotch asked walking around the room.

Spencer stood stunned for a moment before trying to push his feelings aside as his eyes scanned the room for anything different. "My key was in my bag" he muttered to himself. It was the only thing different that he could think of. "I never keep it in my bag".

"Maybe we should go back to the office" Prentiss said placing a hands on his shoulder.

"Good idea" hotch said "jj and Rossi you both stay here and learn what you can. The rest of us will go back to Quantico we can learn more there. I'll call Garcia, see what she can find out the link between out unsub and June".

Without getting the chance to talk reid was pushed out of the loft and into a car by Morgan and Prentiss. The fifteen minute drive was filled with tension and unspoken words. Reid trying to think over any clues June might have said over the last few weeks. Trying to think of her behavior had changed but since he had been away he didn't have any answers. Then it stuck him like a lightning bolt to the brain.

"She moved here from New Orleans" Spencer sat up in his seat gaining the two other agents attention.

"What's going through that brain of yours pretty boy" Morgan asked glancing at him from the drivers mirror.

"June's only been here and New Orleans. But since she's been here she kept to herself. This has to be someone from before she ran away" Spencer realized aloud. "We have to call Will".

******************************************************June dropped on the rotted wooden floor with a thud. Bitting her already split lip trying not to make a sound as he slammed the door as her father closed the door behind him to her old room. She could hear the click if the lock as she moved to sit up.

She looked around shuddering. The room hadn't changed at all. Minus the chain bolted to the floor that was secured around her ankle. She could move just enough so that the small window across the room was just out of her reach.

The room was decayed with age. The paint on the walls was chipped and the color had long faded. The floorboards were rotted and the room was covered in ten years worth of dust. All of her things were scattered on the floor. Books ripped to pieces and small shards of glass were on the floor.

She sat up with her back against the door waiting for the sound of the fridge door to rattle open and the shuffling of feet to the sound of the television. Of she waited another hour or two he would pass out and not wake up for several hours if she was lucky. When she felt it was safe to move she started clawing at the floorboards trying to find the one by the window that was loose. Her fingerprints were scattered along the dusty floor sighing in relief when she found the loose floorboard. She reached her hand down , her shoulder throbbing from the beating she got earlier.

June pulled up a ratty shoe box settling it gently on the floor removing the lid to search is contents. Only five things were inside the box. An old police card that was so faded it was impossible to read. A few pictures and the thing she needed the most. Her fingers reached for the old rusted red switch blade , clicking it open to watch the blade shine. The tip was just as sharp as she remembered.

Garcia was sure to hug Spencer the moment she saw him step out of the elevator with Morgan and Prentiss. The bright and bubbly woman was frantic to do whatever she could.

But Reid was thinking a hundred miles an hour trying to remember what June said about her childhood. Scribbling notes at his desk worrying his friends.

Will was on his way over to the office since Prentiss had called him from the car. Penelope was doing a deep dive into June's past. Going into even more detail then when JJ told her to. Just like before there was only school records but since she knew June had gotten into trouble with the law when she was a teenager she was working to unseal her records.

The beeping of her computer told her that she had succeeded just as Will entered the office. She bolted out of her office into the conference room. Trying to keep her balance since she was wearing her hot pink kitten heels.

"I found something"she huffed making them all stop what they were doing and look at her. She pulled up what she found on the screen. "Okay so , I did a deep dive of June back in New Orleans when she didn't go by her middle name and I found zilch. But then I remembered how she told us how she had a sealed record from when she met Will's Dad" she talked fast pointing as she explained what she was showing them. "I just got the record unsealed".

"So what did it say" hotch asked.

"Exactly was June said. She punched a cop AKA Will's Dad. But here's the thing. He wasn't the one to press charges his partner did. Two weeks after it was filed".

"I was there when it happened" Will said leaning forward in his chair. "She was comin' out of the pharmacy and just hit him square in the jaw. She even said sorry before she did it".

"What about after that. You said you knew her for new Orleans" Morgan asked worried for his friends.

"I only knew her for a year before she ran. Daddy used to bring her over some nights. Thought of her as his own up until the night she came over and left for good" Will explained trying to thing back.

"Her dad was an alcoholic that used to hit her. She once told me it was once of the reasons she left" Spencer added looking over at Will.

"That wouldn't surprise me any time I saw her she had bruises" Will said back.

"What a minute didn't you say she least when she was sixteen" Prentiss asked Reid earning a nod. "Did she have any bad blood with anyone" she asked Will.

"She pretty much kept to herself" he shrugged.

"Garcia did you find anything on the parents" hotch asked trying to keep them focused.

"There's the weird part. I managed to find things on her father Samuel White. But there was nothing on her mother" Garcia explained."she's not even named on the birth certificate which is double weird since just didn't have one till she was five and needed one for school".

"Well if that's not weird I don't know what is" Prentiss said looking at the board.

"Do you remember the night June left" Morgan asked Will. "Would you be open to doing a cognitive interview. There might be something you overlooked".

"If it'll help yeah" Will agreed.

"Good idea Morgan you do the interview , Garcia let trying to find what you can on the parents. Prentiss you call Rossi and JJ to see if they found something. Reid and I will stay here and keep looking if this is the same guy then we need to find how they are connected" hotch ordered as the agents left the room.

"We would have meet him" Spencer muttered looking at his keys gaining hotch's attention. His head snapped up in realization. "He would have been involved in the case". His hands went straight to the latest victims case files.

"Reid what are you saying" hotch asked the young genius.

"My keys weren't in my pocket where I left them when I left the plane to go to June's. They were in my bag but I never put them there that's why there was no signs of forced entry. So we've met him before. Hotch the unsub made a copy of my keys".
