Twigs snapped on the first floor rapidly one after the other as the brunette ran farther and farther from the old rickety and decayed house along with the person inside.
Fight or flight instincts had kicked effect and the only thing she could think about was putting as much distance between herself and danger as much as she physically could. Her lungs were starting to burn lacking oxygen. Jumping over fallen trees and logs in order to prevent turning into a horror movie cleche.
June had no doubt that he would be running into the woods after her in a rage. Trying to hide her tracks as best as she could she kept running hoping that spencer at least knew by now that she was missing.
A faint gunshot in the distance made her look behind her. Quickening her pace to avoid getting shot at.

The second that the jet landed half the team drove to the new Orleans police station to set up while one half were on their way to Samuel White's home in the bayou. They were all curious to see June's childhood home.
Spencer sat in the back of the SUV with Morgan and Prentiss in the front. Still tense over what they had all learned about Spencer's girlfriend. Spencer still seething over jj.
The dirt road was bumpy all they could see was green trees and dirt paths since the were surrounded by woods.
"hey reid you okay back there, man" Morgan asked from the drivers seat looking at him quickly through the mirror. "were almost there. Just another ten minutes".
"in fine" Spencer answered looking out the window. Still angry at jj. But worry was starting to seep in now. JJ had invaded her privacy like it was nothing. June was a private person. He was honestly worried if he would would have a girlfriend when this was over. If she was even alive since he didn't even notice for two days something was wrong. No matter the outcome he was sure that he wouldn't have a girlfriend after this.
"look for what it's worth man none of us knew that jj did that" Morgan reasoned still annoyed with the blonde himself.
"what if she leaves" Spencer croaked out finally looking at him. "what if after all this she won't want to see me anymore". He wouldn't even blame her if she did.
"you can't think like that, man. You didn't know I'm sure she'll understand that" Morgan said driving the car to a stop infront of an abandoned looking house. An old red car parked outside. Cutting the conversation short. Both agents getting out of the SUV.
Spencer's eyes going straight to the blood on the rotted porch. Gesturing towards it to Morgan with his head. Both raising their guns, moving to the door careful to not contaminate the evidence.
The second Morgans for touched the porch the heard a loud gunshot hitting something in the woods surrounding them. Making them both look around frantic.
Morgan reached for his phone as spencer looked around silently in the house both hiding from the shooter until the others arrive. They both moved down the hall following the steady blood trail to find out where it goes. Dirty footprints crossed over them to the from door clearly from the attacker.
"what is that" Morgan asked crouching down to see whats on the floor better. Spencer moves closer, suddenly turning white at the sight. "it's aqueous humour" he answered taking note that the fluid was still dry meaning it happened very recently. "someone just lost an eye".
Morgan raised his gun continuing to look around seeing most of the blood was coming from a door in the kitchen. Spencer following behind with a flashlight. The door squeaked open loudly. Showing the dark basement steps with droplet of blood trailing down. Spencer gulped at the reminder that this was June's blood that he was seeing.
They both slowly walked down the steps, both tense. Their eyes widening in shock.
"OH MY GOD"
