Within The Heart 14

                “I feel sick.” I said clapping my hand to my mouth.

                “You look sick.” Drew said, giving me a worried look.

                “Gee, thanks.” I said rolling my head.

                Lilly bite her lip and shook her head. “Tell him.” She mouthed.

                I ignored her and sat down next to Drew. He put his arm around me and pulled me close to him.

                I gain weight. I was getting fat and big. And pretty soon I wouldn’t be able to keep this from Drew. I just didn’t know how to tell him.

                “Your welcome.” He said kissing my forehead. “So want to go for a walk?”

                “No.”

                “Why not?”

                “I don’t feel like it.”

                “Stop being lazy.”

                I got up and flipped my hair. “No!” I stumped out the living room and went to the room closing the door behind me. He walked in 2 minutes later and shook his head.

                “Why are you so moody? Is it your period or something?” He asked.

                “I’m not being moody.” I said not looking at him.

                “You don’t want to eat the food I make you. You don’t ever want to go for a walk with me or go out. What’s going on?” He asked getting loud now,

                “Nothing!” I said getting loud back.

                “Tell me!!”

                “It’s nothing!”

                Lilly stood at the door but didn’t come in. “Jes, please.”

                “No!” I said.       

                “Jes, tell me!” Drew yelled.

                “I’m pregnant.”

                Nobody said anything. Drew looked like he just seen a ghost. Lilly stood there looking at Drew. I didn’t dare to move.

                “How?” He finally said.

                “I was raped…”

                His eyes narrowed. “By John.”

                I looked away not wanting to look into his eyes. They were full bad things. I nodded.

                “I’m going to kill him.” He said through his teeth.

                “Drew, just let it go.” I said.

                “Let it go? How can I let this go?” He asked. “How can you let this go? He needs to pay for what’s he’s done.”

                “It was my fault.”

                “Don’t.” Lilly said shaking her head. “This is nowhere near your fault. You didn’t deserve that. He used you. Drew’s right, he needs to pay.”

                I didn’t say anything. They were right. But I didn’t want to face John again.

                I was scared. I’m going to be a teenage mom….

                I would take it all back if I could, but I couldn’t. The damage was done. And now I had to do what was best for me and my baby. I wasn’t only thinking about me anymore. I was going to be a mom. I had to think about my baby two.

                And even though I was scared out of my mind about this, I knew I was going to give my baby everything I could. I would make sure that my baby would not go through what I did. But this was question was running through my mind.                  

                “Do you still like me?” I asked Drew.

                He looked shocked by my question. “Why would you ask that? Of course I do. That isn’t going to change.”

                “I told you Jes. We’re going to stand by you.” Lilly said taking my hand.

                “I’m not going to let you go through this alone.” He said cupping my face and kissing me hard on my lips.
