Izuku sat up from his desk, rubbing his eyes to hopefully drive the sleepiness away. The several cups of coffee he had did little affect as he hadn't slept for a while. After his long report to Sensei about the Noumus, he had immediately began working on their next move. He had heard that the Sports Festival would be held by UA around next or the week after that so he had to be quick in making their plans, making it well-proofed as he could throughout the night he hadn't slept.
He sighed, finishing his cup of coffee before grabbing the papers and a small carton box. He put in the passwords and the metal doors opened. He streched his arms and back, his back slouching trying to break the stiff position he had been in. He walked into the bar only to find Kurogiri not there, probably still asleep. Then he remembered it was around 4 AM, Tomura was sometimes awake at this time. He stepped into the kitchen and found Tomura there, seemingly half-awake as he stared at the wall.
"Shi-nii?" The younger asked in a low and soft tone. The older male jumped in surprise.
"I-Izuku..." He said through his hoarse throat. Izuku frowned.
"...why were you spacing out? That's not like you...say, did you sleep?" He asked, noticing the bags under the bluenette's eyes.
"Nah, I was just...thinking." Izuku shook his head and slid the handwritten paper on the table to Tomura.
"These are the plans for the Sports Festival. We'll have a meeting this afternoon at 2. You can go sleep now" Izuku said as he exited the kitchen before Tomura called him. Izuku looked back at him.
"Where are you going?" The older asked. The greenette pulled out the carton box and he could see the disappointment on his brother's face.
"Don't worry, I just have to let some air out" At that, the greenette left the older to sort the papers and get some sleep. Meanwhile, the greenette wore his disguise. A straight black long wig and dark yellow contact lenses to cover up his looks. With his body shape, he took the form of a woman for his disguise. As of the moment, he was wearing a white shirt and denim jeans before grabbing a jacket and putting it on.
He walked for quite a while, not noticing how far he actually went but finally ended up with an all familiar beach. It was a beach he had always went to, to distract himself sometimes. It was a good place to be alone and have collective thoughts as no one wanted to go the piled up littered shores. Izuku had made it his distraction to clean up the area, sometimes even using one of his mini-experiments, with precuations, of course. As of now, it was 45% cleaned.
Izuku sat at a secluded spot made only for him to wait the break of dawn and witness the rise of the sun. He sat there, as he pulled out a cylindar shaped object out of the box he had been carrying, meanwhile lighting up a lighter. He neared the flames to the other end and covered it with his hands to stabilize the flames and avoid putting it out. Once lit, he kept the lighter and puffed out smoke from his mouth. This was the reason why Tomura had that look of disappointment on his face.
He was a minor, smoking cigarettes.
He admits, he did quite often did this before. When the woman he loved the most died, he ran away and met someone of his age. This person got him into a lot of bad habits and recalling them made him shudder. The one habit that stuck to him always was smoking. It just released all of the pent up stress building inside him. While yes, Sensei and Tomura had done their best to keep him off this habit, he sometimes did resort to it.
What could've made him this pent up?
Other than the occasional planning, he had felt a strain to Tomura's words. He felt weird, his brother was out of character. Having hands all over him was something, but him staring at the wall mindlessly was out of ordinary for him. Not to mention, they hadn't really settled their problem.
Tomura may have throught they were back to normal but Izuku did not. His words lacked the playfulness he always had when speaking to the greenette. There was just so much...difference and it pained him.
He puffed out another smoke before scrunching the cigarette and kept it in his pocket, he was about to get another stick before he heard a shuffle. He swiftly turned around and saw no one there but the heap of trash there but he sure did sense another's presence.
Finally, the person stepped out and to his surprise, who stood there,
Was Shoto Todoroki
