A week later I received a set of twenty photos from the shoot. The photographer selected them as the top shots they planned to use in the stores and catalogs.
"These are the more editorial looks that you can use for your portfolio." the photographer wrote in the email.
I drove to the photoshop in Hollywood to print off some of the photos and to thank the owner for suggesting I buy the leather portfolio.
The owner, Demetrio, forties', almost bald, and very happy to see me, looked over the new photos smiling.
"I told you so."
"You did."
While the photos printed, I told Demetrio the story of how I ended up in the shoot.
"In the right place at the right time."
"With your leather book." I reminded him again.
Demetrio asked me about my auditions and I briefly described the shows I read for so far. He listened attentively and suggested I consider modeling in addition to the acting. He gave me the name of two modeling agencies he had connections with. I waited in the sitting area while Demetrio collected my photos from the back. Five minutes later he returned handing me a box with my shots.
"I made a call to my friend at LA Models and he said you could stop by right now. It's just a few blocks down on Sunset."
"Seriously?"
"Yes! Here let me see your portfolio." Demetrio selected seven pictures from the shoot and added them into the book. "Good Luck."

I signed a one-year contract with LA Models an hour after I left the photoshop.
