924 AF1.1 - Third Person POV
With each kiss, Emerald melted further into the familiar hold of her soul mate. One minute, (y/n) had been a patient she was getting to know, and the next, he was everything and more. He was the one Emerald longed to wake up with and the one she had always fallen into an easy sleep with. He was the one that picked up Emerald when she needed it, and the one she could always turn to. He was the one person Emerald truly knew, inside and out.
(y/n) pulled Emerald into her arms, eager to feel Emerald's form against his after the years of longing. He could feel the slight tremble in Emerald's hands as they cupped his face. It was reminiscent of every first kiss the two shared in the past. He fought the urge to smile as his heartbeat increased. He was no longer a stranger in Emerald's eyes. He could feel it in the way she kissed him. It was slow, almost like she was savouring the moment. Emerald's kiss never felt so familiar. For (y/n), it felt like he had finally found his footing in life. Things were now falling into place. He belonged in this world. No longer was he bound to live vicariously through his memories, watching his other selves enjoy what he didn't have. (y/n) couldn't hold back the smile any longer.
Feeling his smile against her lips, Emerald briefly remembered (y/n)'s habit of doing so during a kiss. The man couldn't hold back when he was happy. The thought caused Emerald to smile into the kiss in return. How strange it is to simply know (y/n).
"(y/n)... I want you to have this..." Emerald's own voice played through her head as her fingers intertwined with (y/n)'s. The voices seemed to drift around her like motes of dust in a ray of light before they settled down and the world around her faded away. This time, she wasn't as alarmed as her senses started to blur.

"I... I can't take that, Em." (y/n) looked at me with solemn eyes.
"I want you to have it." I heard myself say again. I took (y/n)'s hands in mine and turned his palm up to place my bracelet in his hand. "... So you won't forget."
(y/n)'s hand trembled in mine as I closed his hand tightly around the beaded bracelet. "I could never forget you."
The scene played out in front of my eyes again, but this time, I didn't fight any of it. I simply watched as the memory unfolded, taking in the moment. The people around us walked by in a hazy blur of unrecognizable grey, leaving the two of us in our own contained world. I could see the dull flickering in (y/n)'s eyes as his hair rustled in the wind and his lips pursed slightly.
(y/n) looked pained and after a small moment, pulled me into an embrace. My head landed on his chest as his head rested on mine. We stayed a moment before (y/n) pushing away and pulling me back in to meet his lips with mine. A goodbye kiss, filled with everything they wanted to tell each other. The sensation tingled across my lips and brought an end to the memory as the scene faded away.

924 AF1.1 - Third Person POV
As the memory dissolved from her mind, Emerald felt reality settle in once again. She felt (y/n) cradling her head against his shoulder. Emerald let out a shaky breath as if she stopped breathing for a while. The memories and voices continued to wash over her, leaving her nearly winded in (y/n)'s arms. Emerald balled (y/n)'s patient scrubs into her hands to reassure herself he wasn't about to step onto a train and leave her alone. The memory felt so real, almost as if it had just taken place. All the emotions that her other self felt in the moment, Emerald felt it too. Her head was throbbing with every small memory that surfaced, but ignored it and buried her face into (y/n)'s shirt, taking in the scent of a distant ocean from the man.
