Shrek x Donkey- A layer away from my heart.

Chapter 15- Engagement.

Shrek looked over at the bushes quickly, "Stay back kids! Daddy's got this." Shrek slowly got ready to pounce as he slowly crept over to the bushes. 
Shrek saw a clump of blonde hair poking out. He had an idea of who it was, Charming. 
"alright charming, I know yur in there, come out." Shreks said with a sigh of disappointment because Charming was a failure.

 Slowly but surely Charming got up and started to sing so he wouldn't die. 
"LA LA LA LA" Began Charming but Shrek put his sausage fingers on his lips to shush him up.
"Shut up." said Shrek. Charming went red with the lip touching and began to wrap his arms around Shrek. Shrek stomped on his arms and they broke, he also cracked his legs so he couldn't walk. He had most of his enemies dead, or hurt. 

Shrek looked at his kids and thought how lucky he was, and how he would always protect them. In the moment of gratitude Shrek forgot about Donkey, of course Donkey was on his mind, he was in love with the guy, but with all the excitement he forgot about Donkey's warm embrace and his smell, and his soft furry coat of fur. 

Back in jail

Donkey was worried out of his MIND. He knew Shrek was going to Puss's house and nobody would be there to stop him "I have to escape' said Donkey, talking to Gingo. Gingo just smiled. His smile stretched to one end of his face to another. "uhm, are you okay?" asked Donkey with confusion on his face. 
"You really think I'm going to let you do that?" Gingo asked.
"Uh, yeah?? I thought you were trying to help Shrek?" Donkey replied with utter confusion on his face. Donkey wondered what he was talking about since Gingo seemed to like Shrek and devoted his life to finding the "boss".  That's when Donkey felt a whack on the side of his head, the last thing he saw was a baguette before hitting the ground and passing out. 

2 hours later
Donkey woke up in the jail cell to see Gingo standing before him. Now he was getting scared.. "What happened?!" asked Donkey struggling to get up. Gingo replied cooly "I hit you in the head with a baguette." 
Donkey realized Gingo was dangerous and might even be the boss so he asked "ARE YOU THE BOSS GINGO?" 
Gingo replied yes. 

The world went silent, all Donkey knew in this jail cell has just been proven wrong. This world he thought he knew, had been ripped away, all his trust gone. Donkey stood up on both his legs in rage, turned his back to Gingo and kicked him right in the pee pee. "AHHHHH" Gingo screamed as he fell. Donkey took his opportunity and ran to Puss's house, he ran as fast as he ever could.

At the residence of Puss in Boots
Donkey arrived at his little cabin and found Puss, laying there holding his legs while crying, his bones were sticking and a wave of relief yet curiosity rushed over him, he wondered if Shrek did that or if it was too late. 

Puss noticed Donkey and screamed "SHREK IS CRAZY HE BROKE MY LEGS FOR NO REASON" Puss lied. Donkey knew it wasn't true since stupid Gingo revealed their plan beforehand. Donkey knew he had to move fast, "WHERE ARE MY KIDS AND SHREK?!" Donkey DEMANDED with rage, not wanting to hear Puss's excuses. "Your kids are inside, I don't know where Shrek went."  Puss answered. Donkey just nodded and went inside. His kids were in the kitchen covered in bruises, as soon as they saw Donkey they flapped their little wings and went over to him. Donkey was so mad but he knew the cat was suffering enough but he decided to break his arms as well, DOnkey quickly cleaned up the kids and they went outside to break Puss's arms. 

"AHHH" screamed the cat as the noble steed jumped on his arms. Donkey thought that was enough and him and the kids went to Shrek's house to see if he was there. The walk there was fairly long but nice, it reminded him of old days, how Donkey wished for the old days. 

At Shrek's house
Donkey and his kids arrived at Shreks house, Donkey told the kids to stay there and he went inside. "AHH" Donkey saw Fiona's gross, bloody body, but then realized who it was and laughed. Donkey realized Shrek wasn't in here so he went outside and walked a bit, his kids trailing behind him. He saw Shrek and his children sitting watching the sun go down. Donkey thought it was rude to interrupt a moment so he waited a couple of seconds and decided to pounce at Shrek BECAUSE HE COULDN'T CONTAIN HIS LOVE ANYMORE

With a shout Donkey screamed "WILL YOU MARRY MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!?" suddenly Shrek turned around, jumped and sprinted towards screaming  "YES YES YES" The two began to hug, when they realized they started to kiss. The ogres soft, pink lips against the donkey's snout was enough to make their hearts go wild. 

Everything was perfect.

Until Gingo walked in front of them.
