The lunch bell rang in the school so the three of us went down. Only to discover there weren't too many people in the cafeteria. Normally there were around 200. By the looks of it, it didn't even seem to be 100. I was caught by surprise and so were Jin and Jungkook. Students were chatting and going on as usual. The thing was, nothing was in the ordinary.
Surprisingly, I saw Taehyung waving Jungkook over. I followed behind and felt awkward. With what happened yesterday, I wouldn't have thought that anyone would be at school. Actually, it was somehow expected. Jin went to the bathroom. With that, I felt kind of unsafe. As if the world would end in those minutes. Not like it actually would or anything.
Taehyung examined the both of us with concern. I only sighed and started eating the junk on my tray. Sometimes I couldn't ever tell what it really was. That didn't matter though because food was food. Unless it was poisoned or tampered with. My leg was bouncing fiercely as I ate. Not that I was mad, but kinda nervous.
What struck me most was how everyone finally knew what the noises from the sewers were. Even the teachers. Why would school go on in this condition anyhow?
"So zombies." Taehyung spoke up.
I looked up anxiously, "You mean you know?"
"What trick are you guys pulling?" Taehyung had a devilish grin.
Jungkook had a serious look on his face. He looked at Jin, me, and then Taehyung. His mouth opened to speak, but nothing came out. It was as if he was scared or nervous to say that it was all true.
Jin spoke up, "You know ignorance is what kills."
Taehyung chuckled, "Yeah."
"It's true," I clear my throat, "They're real. It's all real."
"Yeah," Jungkook mumbled.
I nodded, "Please come to the roof if there's an outbreak during school."
Taehyung laughed as if I were telling some joke. I frowned and dropped my head. I felt like apologizing for wanting to return the favor of him saving my life. Jin put a hand on my shoulder and gently patted it. Jungkook took a bite of his food and almost choked which caused me to look up.
"Sorry," he banged his hand against the table laughing, "Look behind you."
Taehyung and Jungkook both began to die laughing together. Jin looked back before me and a smile crept across his face from my side vision. I decided to turn around. What I saw was somehow scarring and funny. Another guy near our table was doing the dad version of the sprinkler and working it. Hoseok, known widely in the school, was beat boxing to it. I couldn't help, but chuckle. Rather loudly, too.

Jin and I decided to head up to the roof 10 minutes before lunch was over. To be prepared actually.
"I'm curious," I say.
"About what?" Jin sits by me on the roof.
"Do you have a school crush?" I asked sort of joking.
"Yeah," he nodded, "You?"
"Nope!" I said.
"No one sparks your interest?" he asks.
"Someone started to," I nodded, "But I don't think it'd ever happen."
"I understand that," he said, "people are hard to read."
I chuckle softly, "Yeah."
There was a strong silence after that. Jin began to look down at the city below. Somehow it felt as if we were in a movie where the couple watches over the city like protecting it in some way, shape, or form. Unfortunately, we weren't together. And with the conversation we had, never will be either, but I have to know more.
