Chapter 17

Alice and I slipped away from the guys. Our reason for them not going is that it wasn't more than a two person job. They protested, but we made an offer they couldn't refuse. To bond diligently. Although we had our moments of hate, we still had to be kind. After all, it's not like she tried to kill me or anything.

Alice and I looked through the the aisles. She was gripping the bottom of her shirt and biting her lip. Her fingers danced across the labels as she read. I hesitantly looked around and made sure it was only us. My stomach was aching due to the stench of the corpses that were planted on the floor. It's been a bit and I still hadn't gotten used to it.

Suddenly I heard some boxes drop to the floor. Alice mumbled under her breath and bent down to pick them up. I sighed and my eyes wandered over to some pills scattered on the floor. They seemed fresh, but I didn't know. Really, they could have been scattered a week ago. Not something to be interested in, but Alice was taking her sweet time.

[Jin POV]

"I don't feel like she loves me like I love her," Taehyung hugged his pillow while leaning on the wall.

I was sitting with him because he was depressed. He didn't show this side around anyone except for me. Taehyung was secretly emotional and I was surprised to see this side. Especially when Taehyung was absurdly harsh. I rested my cheek on my hand and nodded as I listened to him.

There was something about how he spoke of Alice that didn't really fit. His sentences proclaimed to love her, but his heart said no. It's as if he were saying it to fill the loneliness he felt. I understood on some level, but didn't bother to put my words in. Maybe the reason he seemed so cold and immature was because of how he was raised up to be.

"Why do I love her so much?" he asked, "She's too kind to me."

"Isn't that what you'd want?" I questioned.

"She doesn't want me the same way," he sighed.

"She's staying with you," I cleared my throat, "Isn't she? She says she loves you back, right?"

"She only smiles," he said.

I felt like he was talking about Minji, but the subject was Alice. Maybe it was because she was on my mind. I hope that she's okay. That there wouldn't be any harm near her or anything.

Jungkook was on my mind. How did something like that happen to him? Especially the combat skills he obtained. I dropped my head and sat on the floor. Alice looked at me with a small smile. One I hadn't ever seen before. I slightly smiled back, but continued to space out.

"I found some," she said.

I rose to my feet, "Alright, let's go."

"Wait!" she said.

I turned to face her, "Yeah?"

"Thank you," she put her head down.

"Okay," I started walked to the car.

Alice held tightly to the box and took a seat in the passenger side. I shut the door for her and then got in. I left my door open for a second to let a little wind in. After a minute or two, I shut the door and started the car. Alice suddenly made a loud noise with her mouth which caused me to jump. Unpleased, I looked at her.

"What if I do this now so we don't have to at the house?" she pleaded, "Less embarrassment, you know."

I thought for a minute. She had a point really.

"There's this thing called a condom," I rolled my eyes, "You should have used it."

"Not enough time," she shrugged.
