Chapter 14

[Minji POV]

I woke up with my head hurting. Another hung over. Alice was already evil enough. Noticing Jin wasn't in bed, I shot up. What happened last night? Did we? Of course not. Nothing would ever happen like that. Or at least I hoped so. Just then, Jin came in the room rubbing his eyes. He looked at me with a small grin.

"Glad you're awake," he said, "How are you feeling?"

"My head is killing me," I sighed.

He handed me a pill bottle, "I know they're not very useful, but I hope they help."

"Thank you," I said.

Once taking the pill bottle, I examined it. They were xanx. Well, they were good enough I guess. I didn't know much about them and the label was ripped off. Deciding to open it, I took a second. Jin was standing there with a glass of water held out towards me. Was it really water? It was. I trusted Jin more than Alice. I gently took the water and the pill. I gagged.

"Hey," Jin rushed over, "You alright?"

"Hard to swallow," I chuckled.

He smiled, "Careful then."

Yoongi and I were sent to be on watch while Jungkook bathed. He wanted two people to watch for some reason. I was closer to the house than Yoongi though so I didn't really mind. No one had given Alice a weapon because we really didn't have any to spare. Honestly, I was glad of that.

I kicked at the dirt beneath my feet and twirled around. There wasn't much to do at the moment other than on the look out. My eyes shifted to Alice who was walking my way. Please don't start trouble. I gripped my knife and didn't leave my eyes off of her. She counts as a zombie, right? I mean, so what if she can speak, she's wanting my heart anyway.

Alice grinned as she kept her hands behind her back. I felt the need to mock her, but that'd be silly. My heart began to race and my palms became sweaty. She was making me fairly anxious with her approach, but I didn't show fear. I've dealt with other girls like her. Not in the same exact situation, but there's bit quite a few. Perhaps it was better to be vague of my emotions.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

She took the butcher knife from behind her, "Gonna cut something."

"Okay," I said a bit concerned.

Alice walked and bent down to a plant. It looked like tall grass or something. There was nothing very criminal like that, but what were they for? And why a knife like that? Why not a smaller one, or just use your hands? It was fairly odd, but I didn't wanna question out loud.

I sighed and turned towards the house once again. If she was going to go to Jungkook, Yoongi would have to stop her. She was out of my hands now. Although I didn't want her to get near my brother, it wasn't as bad as getting near Jin. My brother was more civilized. He never really had an interest in anyone. I suppose it was the immature side of him.

"Don't think about it," I heard a voice.

That's when I felt a rush if panic go through me. I turned around to see quite a sight. Yoongi had caught Alice's wrist in mid air with the knife held tight in her hands. He caught her just in time. Thankfully, she didn't go further. Closing my eyes, I let a sigh of relief. Alice was mumbling something under her breath like a coward.

When I opened them, I saw Alice start walking again. She bumped my shoulder hard as she passed me. I bit my lip and watched as Jungkook was heading our way. Yoongi glared at Alice with his hand gripped on his gun handle. Anger wanted to burst out of him. I could tell by his eyes. Yoongi then looked at me sympathetically and sighed.
