"It's here!"
It had been a week since that exam and each passing day had her nerves building up to this moment. Soraka hadn't known when she would find out the results of the exam so when something was slipped under her hotel room door, upon closer inspection a letter with a red wax seal, her heart squeezed and she eagerly ran to the small desk that was set up across from her bed. She tore open the envelope and a small metal disk fell out and into her hand. It wasn't anything much, and it wasn't the letter she was expecting, so she raised a brow at it and set it down on the desk, the envelope still in her hand.
She was startled when it flashed blue and a hologram popped up from it, none other than All Might standing proudly in the middle. He spoke without hesitation, his voice booming to life into the room.
"Greetings, young Umitsu! Your performance during the exam was marvelous and you scored high within the enemy point system, you should be proud!" His smile never faltered and the yellow suit he wore didn't seem like the best fit on him. Nonetheless, it held together well over the constantly moving muscle as All Might didn't seem to know how to stand still. He was no doubt as excited as the kids who had been eagerly awaiting for their results.
"But, we also had a rescue point system as well, because what kind of school would we be if we didn't take that into account as well!" As he mentioned the second system, her own scores popped up next to him on a screen behind him. They were definitely high and she placed well within the examinees. She was so focused on all of it that she hadn't yet noticed the smell of smoke coming from her left.
After a few more sentences, making out more like a short speech, All Might finally told of her acceptance into UA, finally relieving her tension, and not until the screen shrunk back into the metal disk and the room went silent did the smell hit her, along with a flicker of light.
She looked over to find the envelope in her hand burning within a fire, which explained the smell. Once it had clicked in her mind what was happening, the fire was extinguished but the smell still lingered. She had gotten so nervous and excited that she hadn't even realized she wasn't completely controlling her quirk.
Soraka made sure it wouldn't catch fire on its own before dumping the blackened paper into the trash can and lunged for her phone over on the bed where she had left it. She pulled up her messages and quickly sent one to Shiozaki, telling about her acceptance and asking the vine haired girl if she had gotten her own results. She then texted her mother the exciting news before setting her phone down. The electrifying feeling coursing through her body was constant as she roamed around the room, unsure of what to do now. She hadn't planned anything due to the unknown outcome of the exam, so the rush she felt was going to waste.
Shiozaki responded to her text and the two talked about their scores and placements. She found out that her friend had gotten fourth, which amazed the red haired girl. She praised Shiozaki, who was humble about it, and pressed the question of possibly meeting up to celebrate. When her friend declined the offer, saying that she was going out with family, Soraka was disappointed but congratulated the girl again on her placement before the conversation ended.
She still had not gotten a reply from her mother, so with a heavy sigh, Soraka decided to change and go for a walk. It might allow her to find something to do, or she might see someone she would recognize from the exam hopefully.
She wore white jean shorts and a loose black tank top, along with her running shoes. She kept it simple and tied her hair into a ponytail before resting her phone in her pocket and her wallet in the other.
When she walked outside, there were a few puffy white clouds scattered in the sky while the sun continued to shine down like it had been since she had gotten here. The streets were busy with people and if one were to listen close enough to the conversations around them, then they could catch onto the latest crime and the hero who had stopped it. Apparently there had been some simple robbery at a jewelry shop but the villain had been quick to get away and was currently evading capture. Most people didn't seem to be worried however, confident that the pros would soon find them.
