The following morning it was back to waking up at 05:30, all for the sake of not getting on Aizawa's bad side first thing in the morning. Their morning was relatively normal, save for the strangers that would constantly tap their shoulders. What made it uncomfortable was that they knew their names, calling out to them like they had known each other for years.
"Umitsu!" Soraka turned her head slightly to look at the new stranger. "You did great kid! Can't wait to see you become a real pro!" He gave her a big toothy grin, along with a thumbs up. She nodded her head and mumbled a quick 'thank you' before going on. She noticed that Uraraka was also closer to her than normal.
She let out a great sigh of relief as they crossed through the gate of the school. It would keep any unauthorized personnel from entering, easing her worries.
The classroom was alive and buzzing when they entered. Some people were at their seats, but no one was sitting in them. Some where sitting in others seats, chatting with others. Ojiro caught her attention quickly, his tail wagging in excitement.
"Did you guys get noticed too?" Mina was the first to notice their entrance, waving her arm frantically.
"Yeah! It was really cool for a little bit, but it happened so often that it got a little tiring." Uraraka answered for the both of them. Her cheeks were still pink aside from the little circles, and her voice was slightly higher pitched. Soraka went to her seat that was thankfully empty of someone else, sliding into it. She had done so just in time, as a black covered leg entered the room.
Everyone went silent and quickly went into their own seats, their eyes shooting to their teacher.
"You're looking better Mr. Aizawa." Tsuyu spoke up as their teacher took his spot at the front of the room.
"The old lady got overdramatic with her treatment." Was what he responded with. Now that that was out of the way, he took a quick breath, and went on with the class. "But let's put that aside. Today's hero informatics period is a little special.
Special? Like a test? He wouldn't be so cruel as to give us a test as soon as we got back, right?! She was sure that her worries were written all over her face.
"It's time to formulate your code names. Your hero names."
The crowd erupted for a moment before a look from their teacher returned them to their seats. They fell silent, but each of their minds were still screaming in excitement. She didn't even register what Aizawa said, but got the just of it when she saw names and lines appear on the board.
"Typically, the results are more balanced, but this year, all the attention leaned towards three of you." True to his word, there were extremely short lines next to a majority of the names, save for the top three. Todoroki was at the top with an amazing 4,123 drafts from the pros. Bakugou was second with 3,556, and she was ecstatic to see her name third with 2,216. She wanted to jump up in excitement, but knew better and had to contain herself.
"And cuz of that we need hero names, huh?!" Sato's voice boomed through the class.
Ahh I zoned out again!
"Of course, placeholder names are fine, too, but something appropriate.."
"Because if not, it'll be hell from there!" The door slammed open, revealing the scantily clad pro hero, Midnight. "The names you pick now! The names you come to be known by the world as now! In many cases, they stay that way after becoming pros!" She strutted into the room, her hands resting behind her head.
"Well, she is correct." Aizawa picked back up. "I'll be having Ms. Midnight evaluate your naming sense. Since I definitely can't." He muttered his last sentence, pulling out his yellow, caterpillar-esqe sleeping bag.
