Midnight went on to explain how the Cavalry Battle worked and the rules. They were still allowed to utilize their quirks, so she knew she would probably work best as a rider. They had fifteen minutes to now find people to team-up with, hopefully to each individuals advantage.
Shiozaki was out of the question, since they had already decided to go all out against each other. She also couldn't help but to notice the large crowd surrounding Bakugou, mostly of their own classmates. She was basically on her own for the moment.
"Soraka! Team up with me! I'm small and you could carry me! You have those wings so you could just fly high enough so no one can take our points!" Mineta came running up, his eyes almost watery.
Soraka turned, ignoring him and waving towards the purple haired male that had stopped them from leaving class. She had also seen him during the entrance exam, but hadn't immediately recognized him before.
"Hey, would you mind if we teamed up?" He had Ojiro with him, who turned upon hearing Soraka.
"Oh hey, you did really well during that race." His tailed swayed gently behind him.
"So did you. So can I join?"
The purple haired male looked her up and down before speaking. "What's your quirk?"
She let out a forced chuckled. "Straight to the point huh? It's Phoenix. Fire and wings to keep it short and simple." This earned a nod from the other boy.
"The name's Shinsou. You are?" He held out his hand, which she gladly shook.
"Soraka! Thanks. What's your quirk? And if it's not too big of a deal, I think it'd be best if I was the rider, since I could pretty easily prevent people from getting close."
Little robots were walking around, handing people their headbands while the students talked among themselves. She quietly thanked the one who handed one to her and she mentally read the number on it before tying it around her head. 195.
"Teams, get ready! We will start in one minute!" Midnight practically sang out.
"It doesn't matter. Are you three ready?" Soraka hadn't even noticed the third male, he was short and quiet. All three of them hummed their response, and suddenly, Soraka wasn't in control of her own body anymore.
It was like she was stuck inside of it and could only see. She wasn't the rider, like she had suggested. Shinsou was, and she was raging, literally on the inside. On the outside, her face stayed blank and emotionless, like a puppet. She started to panic slightly, the only thing keeping her from losing it was that she could easily assume that it was his quirk.
She could only sit helplessly as the Calvary Battle went by.
Until she was thrown back into control. She felt herself running and she couldn't help the first words out of her mouth.
"What the hell man?! We're supposed to be a team!" She glared up at him.
"I know what I'm doing." He said it so nonchalantly, she honestly wanted to drop him right hen and there. What stopped her from doing so was her confusion. How did I get out of that? She looked around and noticed Ojiro's tail still swinging from side to side.
It must've hit me.
Ojiro seemed dazed still, so she took the quick opportunity to elbow him hard enough to snap him out of it as well. He jolted for a moment, looking around, and clearly just as confused as she had been.
She didn't even realize that they went through the whole thing without even really knowing what had happened.
"Times up!" Shouted Midnight. She let go of Shinsou, hoping Ojiro would do the same and let him fall. She felt a burn on her left arm. Great, he really didn't give a shit, now did he.
