The next three days after surgery went by quite roughly. Hoseok was facing a ridiculous amount of abnormalities for the former days, and Jimin was starting to get aggravated. He urged Hoseok to visit Dr. Wexler, several times before, but the other repeatedly said that he was fine.

However, all his assurances and calmness came crumbling down when he woke up one day, groaning heavily while clutching his head in both hands like it's going to split apart.

"Jimin hand me the painkillers," he shook Jimin awake, demanding pain killers, again.

"Huh, what's happening?" Jimin awoke, flustered and bewildered.

"GIVE ME THE PAINKILLERS!" his aching friend howled at him, in agony rather than fury. Hence, he frantically stood to his feet and grabbed the pills before handing Hoseok the bottle.

As Hoseok gulped two pills down Jimin said, "You really need to inform Dr. Wexler, Hobi." Hoseok contemplated shortly before finally asking him to call for an appointment with the doctor.

A few hours later, the boys were at the said man's office, back in the hospital.

"You should have contacted me earlier if they were that bad!" scolded Dr. Wexler.

"I'm sorry," Hoseok apologized submissively as his eyes wandered on the floor.

The doctor sighed deeply before reassuring, "Don't worry, we might just have to start the radiation therapy today, that's all." After that, he sent them to Dr. Min's office.

As the boys reached the designated office, Dr. Min greeted them politely with a minute smile then immediately went straight to the point after they explained their story.

"We're going to start with an MRI scan first to determine the correct angles of which we're going to aim the beams of the radiation. So please, follow me," he said, and Hoseok nodded as he followed him out of the office.

Once they were in the scanning room, he helped Hoseok onto the scanner table. Next, Hoseok was provided with earplugs to block out the loud noises of the scanner.

Later, after printing the reports, Dr. Min examined them next to the radiologist before thanking her and leading Hoseok to another room.

"Woah!" Hoseok gasped as he gazed at the enormous machine before him. Dr. Min chuckled lowly and asked Hoseok to lie down on the treatment table. Then, he fit Hoseok's foot in a molded device that resembled a body cast of some sort.

"What's that?" Hoseok questioned out of curiosity.

"It's like a cast, it's supposed to hold you in the same position for the radiation to be aimed accurately," Dr. Min answered briefly before heading for the computer placed near the machine.

"This is a linear accelerator, Mr. Jung, so if you get uncomfortable, tell me," he demanded.

Sooner, Hoseok felt several beams shoot at the site of his tumor from different angles. He wasn't in pain, but he was soon bored as the session lasted for about 20 minutes.

After the session, Hoseok found Jimin in the waiting room, sitting alone.

"How was it?" Jimin asked once he noticed his friend approaching.

"It was fine. But let's go eat something, I'm starving!" Hoseok exaggerated as he gripped Jimin's wrist and started dragging him hastily towards the exit while laughing loudly.

However, his movements halted, his smile fell, and a cold shiver ran down his spine as he eyed a particular person, he never wanted to see again. With a fearful expression, Hoseok stared at his father from afar.
