Waking up to cries of woe, Hoseok frowned at the sight of Jimin sobbing on the ground. Its been a while since he's seen Jimin cry so much. Hence, he was startled. Then he noticed the file in Jimin's grip and scowled. He didn't want Jimin to know this way.

He knelt down beside Jimin and wrapped his arms around his frail body, pulling it towards his chest. Yet regardless of Hoseok's consoling gestures and attempt at soothing him, Jimin continued to sob violently.

"Why you? Why?" Jimin repeatedly chanted as Hoseok tried to shush him, saying that it's alright and that everything would be ok. Although he denied that thought himself, he wished it'd be true, and not just a solace.

They stayed like that, on the floor embracing each other, for a while before Jimin finally stopped crying. He pulled away from the hug and stared bitterly into space with sorrow evident in his glare. Loathing their treacherous fate, he glared. But that was until a totally different emotion took over his demeanor. Instead of being enraged, he was now back to his vulnerable state again, as he acknowledged how miserable they were. Wistfully, he pulled both of them off the floor and onto the couch.

"Since when?" he managed to mutter.

"I knew about a week ago, and these are the results of the biopsy; they just came out," Hoseok answered, mournfully. Even he, himself despised what left his mouth. It felt like the words were breaking a cemented dam to gush out of his mouth. He next abruptly took hold of Jimin's hand and led him to the bedroom, not wanting to go on in this conversation any longer.

"C' mon, it's late. Let's just sleep for now," Hoseok said, putting Jimin to bed, then getting into his own, right beside Jimin's. However, Jimin stepped out of his bed and got into Hoseok's instead.

"No, I want to sleep beside you, Hobi," murmured Jimin as he cuddled into his friend, wrapping his arms around his torso and nuzzling his face into his shoulder like how he used to when they were younger. Soon after, they both fell asleep.

The next morning, the pitter-patter of typing and clicking resounded in the bedroom. Jimin was searching for reputable medical centers to seek their opinions on Hoseok's condition. After yesterday's meltdown, he acknowledged that sulking and crying wouldn't cure his friend. He had to start working immediately, for the sake of Hoseok. Vigorously typing, he was too occupied to even notice his friend stirring on the bed.

"Chim, what are you doing so early in the morning," Hoseok said bitterly, angered by the disturbance.

"Sorry Hobi, just go wash up for now. I have some important stuff to discuss with you," Jimin said and Hoseok complied, heading for the bathroom to take a quick shower and brush his teeth. Afterward, he sat next to Jimin on the bed, waiting for the other to speak.

"So, I woke up today and looked up some reputable medical centers online. I believe we should seek some medical advice first, before stepping a foot inside any cancer center," spoke Jimin. Hoseok nodded, approving of the idea, and grateful for Jimin's efforts.

"Did you find anything?" he asked and Jimin nodded.
