(A/N: In this Tony adopted Peter, but him and May are co-guardians of Peter)
To say that Peter felt shitty was an understatement. The past week Flash has been even worse to him and the night before he had stayed up till 11:00 pm fighting bank robbers. Since he didn't have any tests Peter decided to stay home and take a mental health day. But, his school didn't allow mental health days as a valid excuse to be late, so he had called in sick then he told Tony that he was sick so that Happy didn't come to pick up and find he wasn't there. Peter didn't expect Tony to come with the rest of the Avengers and take care of him. Peter tried to tell them that they could go home but they insisted on taking care of him. Until, Natasha got back from a mission and she quickly called out Peter. And to say that the Avengers were offended was also an understatement. They felt taken advantage of and said that if school wasn't over they would've dragged Peter to school right then and there. Peter tried to explain that he was taking a mental health day, but they didn't want to hear it. The Avengers were mad at Peter for the next week or so and Peter stopped eating and wasn't getting a lot of sleep. He also only drank half a glass of water a day.
And then here we are. Present day. Peter was miserably walking through the halls on a Friday with a runny nose and a bad mental health state. He had tried to tell the Avengers that he was sick but they didn't believe him one bit. They said "Do you really think that we're gonna fall for that again?" And told him to go to school.
"Hey loser," Peter was greeted by MJ. "Why do you look so bad?"
"Gee MJ, thanks for being so nice." Peter spoke sarcastically.
"You know what I mean loser," MJ said. "Do the Avengers know that you're sick?" Peter has discovered recently that MJ knew that Peter is Spider-Man And had for a while, so she knew about Tony being Peters dad.
"They don't believe me because last week when I was staying with May I had told Dad that I was sick and he came with the Avengers when I was taking a mental health day."
"So he thought that you were immune system sick, but you meant mentally sick?" MJ asked.
"Kinda," Peter replied. "And it's even worse because Ned's sick today so I have to deal with school without my comedian duo partner." Ned had texted Peter that morning saying that he wouldn't be in school because he was sick which made Peter feel even shittier.
"Well, at least it's a Friday, so you have a weekend to get better." MJ said.
"Yeah, but I've been like this for like 4 days."
"A little rest can go a long way," the bell then decided to ring. "Later loser." MJ spoke walking away.
School was even worse than usual and not only because Peter was sick, but also because Flash decided to be extra shitty and beat up Peter. Peter ended up with a bruise on his arm, his chin, and he had a punch in the gut, causing him to throw up over Flash.
Since Peter was staying the night at the compound he really didn't want the office to call home because May wasn't home and Tony wouldn't believe it one bit so he just said that he ate too much and apologized to Flash even though he hadn't eaten anything at all.
Peter was picked by Happy and they drove to the compound making no conversation because Happy had put the divider up expecting Peter to be talking his ears off.
They arrived at the compound and Peter was basically more dead inside then he normally was. He went up to his room and he decided to take a nap until it was time for him to go patrol. And that's exactly what happened.
Peter woke up at 8:00 pm, put on his suit, and jumped out the window to patrol. There weren't any crimes happening after Peter swept by twice.
"Mr. Parker it seems that your immune system isn't okay. Would you like me to contact Mr. Stark?" Karen asked.
