They were in love once
They loved with a love that was more than love
Their eyes glazed as they looked up to the stars above
She made a wish to the stars above
That he'd never leave
That he'd never fall for another
Eyes fluttering, she blinked back tears
Deep down inside, she knew he would
Might not have been that moment
But one cold night, he vanished into thin air
She searched and searched
But deep down inside, she knew
The wish she had made would never come true
For he was only meant to be an experience, never a forever
A memory lingering in her mind, till forgotten.
