She was alone.
And maybe what baffled her was she wasn't bothered by that. She seeked comfort in herself.
She seeked love in herself.
She didn't need anyone.
And she was happy for that.Playing in the field of lilies and daisies, she was free.
She ran, nothing held her back, no one held her back.
Oh trust was such an easy thing to give but so difficult to get back once it's lost.
She knew she couldn't live like that anymore, being left broken after those she trusted her left her deserted once more, with nowhere to go, no one to turn to, to grieve.
She was like a star, so beautiful and bright but so far to reach.
Her soul was like a lit candle, bright but dangerous to touch, one could get burnt easily if they played with her heart.
She was a roaring ocean with dangerous waves as her thoughts. She wasn't willing to let anyone into her waters, not unless they were willing to swim deep into her waters with the possiblity of drowning.
As she was, she was free, a broken butterfly but still flying into the clear blue skies.
