John:

John sat by himself in the common room. Sirius had tried talking to him, but he was concentrating. He knew that somewhere in his mind would be the fact he needed, but he needed to pinpoint it.

Tracing through his memory, he was trying to find what information he'd learned about Molly over the yeas he'd known her.

She was pureblood, but she didn't agree with pureblood extremists.

She lives with her mum and dad in a flat just outside of London.

She constantly went on and on about wanting to meet a werewolf.

She enjoys baking.

She-

Wait. John had it. Werewolves...

He knew that Remus had to hide somewhere every full moon. He'd heard stories of the shrieking shack, which happened to scream and howl every full moon. Putting them together, he went to to fing Sirius. Or Remus. Or really any of them.

"Where do you go every month?" He practically shouted when he saw Remus walking through the corridor.

"What do you mean?" Remus laughed.

"Look, I know you're a werewolf - don't ask how, I just do - and I know that somehow you get into the shrieking shack every full moon. Now, can you tell me how?" He explained.

Remus paused.

"Look, I'm in a hurry, and this could be a matter of life or death so, if you could just tell me," John said.

"There's a knob on the whomping willow. Touch that to shut her down, and there's a hole just in the roots. That leads to the shack," he explained. "Be careful, though. If it's as important as you say, then don't get into trouble. I'd hate to imagine Sherlock without you around."

"Sherlock will have to deal with me not being around," He muttered, before breaking into a sprint. He didn't care if he got in trouble, as long as he got Molly before being expelled.

However, the one part of his plan he didn't think through was how he was going to stop the tree. The knob was on the trunk, but it was evident that he wasn't going to get that close. Not with her thrashing around so much.

His worries were answered by a rat crawling to the tree and hitting the knob, which caused the trree to stop. The rat then looked at him and turned into Peter Pettigrew.

"You're welcome," He said, before turning back into a rat and scampered away.

John took a step towards the hole and stepped into it.
