um

let's see

Sherlock was woken up to a strong poke to his side, much earlier than he'd expected. Considering it was a weekend, he was hoping to sleep in to like 12 but appartently not.

"Wake up, Sherlock!" John whispered loudly.

"What is it?" He groaned, rolling over.

"Oh come on. It's important" John tried again.

"Just tell me" Sherlock curled into a ball.

"Molly's missing... Well, she didn't come down for breakfast, but I was looking for her around he school. Apparently she's not in her dormitory" John informed "I thought she might've gone out somewhere with James but apparently not"

"Molly?" Sherlock yawned "Molly!"

Sherlock tried to get up so quickly that he fell off his bed.

"You okay?" John tried "There was quite a loud thump there..."

Sherlock made a noise and lay on the floor for a minute before getting up.

A fewminutes later, both of them were fully dressed and wondering through the school, looking for anyone who an any idea where Molly was. Of course, no-one did. No-one ever did anything useful at Hogwarts.

Eventually, despite Sherlock's arguments, John won, and they told a teacher. Not exactly that they suspected their friend had been kidnapped by a madman who was enrolled in the school, but they did ask if any of the teachers knew where she may be.

The only teacher who was any help was Hagrid, the groundkeeper, who apparently saw people walk into the forbidden forest last night. Of course, Hagrid's word wasn't exactly the most trustworthy, but it was all they had, so, after a few minutes of helping John get over his fear of the forest, they managed to get Hagrid's permission to look. He wasn't happy about it, but would rather let two teenagers look for their friend, than have them report that he saw people walk into the forest and did nothing about it.

He lent them some torches, and told them what to do if they find theselves in danger, but couldn't join them because he had business to attend to (he looked shiftily at an overturned pot near the fireplace).

"Well," Sherlock started, as they were walking into the forest "It seems this year's reminding me of first year"

John chuckled, but didn't turn his head away from the trees.

"Come on, John. You have to know that I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. Not again" Sherlock comforted.

"I don't know, Sherlock" John replied "I just really don't like this place, and I don't like anything about this right now. I don't like Jim, and I don't like people being in danger, and I wanted to avoid getting into danger for just a few years until we'd finished school"

"It'll be okay. We can't assume they're doing anything dangerous. They could be shagging in here, and we could be rudely interrupting them" Sherlock laughed.

"Sherlock, gross" John replied "I don't wanna think about James shagging anyone. Especially Molly"

"Okay, sorry" Sherlock laughed "Just trying to lighten the mood"

John gave up on the serious atmosphere, and instead, pushed Sherlock against a tree. "You know I love you, right?" He asked "And whatever happens this year, I'm always going to"

"I love you, too" Sherlock replied, kissing him "How couldn't I?"

And they kissed again, for that moment, forgetting everything that was going wrong.
