Chapter 16

( Bryce's POV) Once I saw Delilah come back from her long trip I felt happy again. She was just gone for so long but she never told me why she had to leave. I now felt like I should find my brother but he isn't gonna want me back in his life after what I said. No one cares about me and maybe I should leave this town or even this state. I think that Delilah will be back to the house. It always makes me so sad when someone that I love leaves me and no one should go through what I did to Iris. Me beating her almost to death wasn't a good idea but not as bad as what I did to Delilah. I told her it wasn't my fault but she said that humans just don't understand. The fire in her eyes just made me want to do things with her but when she got to hot she turned into a fireball and burned me.  I tried to make her cold but I burned her to ash that she got mad and left my house. I never thought that Maidens and humans could be something together. I just had to learn from her. She was like my teacher but I made one mistake and look where it got me.  I should go and find her and be happy. I walked for a few blocks and saw her sitting on the curb. " Hey it's gonna be ok" I said trying to be helpful. " they just don't want me there anymore" she said while trying not to cry. " Look I am sure they are just need sometime getting used to you being back" I said hugging her. " Yeah I guess but then why would she walk away from the door" she said. " I don't know how I could help you with that but let me go to the house and talk to them" I said standing up. " Don't you will just get me in deeper trouble" she said grabbing my arm. " Please I know that you haven't been here in awhile but I have been here to fill that spot" I said. " You know how hard it is to lift the sun every fucking day because I don't think you do" shouted Delilah. " I know that I am not a maiden but at least I have a job of being with you" I said touching her shoulder. " Get away from me and just go back to your brother," said Delilah. She was turning into a fireball again. " I will leave you alone ok I don't mean any harm" I said backing away. I walked to the house and I turned around and saw her laying down. " Hey bro" said Archer. " I'm sorry for making you leave the house but also why are you outside" I asked. " Well I don't know I just didn't have anywhere else to go" he replied. " You can come back home brother" I said reaching out my arms. He hugged me.
