The Maidens and Me

Chapter 25

( Iris's POV) As I walked away from the house in tears I felt so terrible for what I have done.  I walk back to Crescent's house with tears streaming down my face. * Time skip to a few weeks later* It was time for the adoption fair, even though it happened every year. I always go to see the children get picked to be adopted. But as for me I don't really want to adopt a child right now. I  always visit this little girl named Lana she never gets adopted which is sad but I always talk to her at the fair. As I walked over to the fair I look for Lana then I sign in so I can just look around. Once I got in the actual fair I went right over to Lana. " Hey little sunshine" I call out to her " This girl took my best friend away from me" screams Lana. " Coral is gonna be alright you have me to talk to" I said in a sad tone. " No I wanted to be adopted with her but a girl took her and not me" yelled Lana. " Calm down it's going to be alright" I said pulling her into a hug. " I want to be a maiden so I could change the way this turned out" said Lana. " That is not how the Maidens work they don't get to choose their abilities' I said as I started to cry along with her. " I want to feel love from a maiden" screamed Lana. " I look over and see the rest of - Maidens walking into the fair. " How about you go over there and talk to those girls" I said with a smile. " But they aren't going to adopt me" said Lana with a sad look. " You might be lucky this time and get adopted today just like Coral" I said. She walked over to the maidens and tugged on Brooke's shirt " excuse me but my good friend Iris told me to come over here" said Lana. I watched the whole thing happen from afar. "Oh well my name is Brooke" said Brooke. " My name is Lana but are you looking for any cute kids" asked Lana with a big smile. " you are just the cutest thing" said Olive " how many are there of you" said  Lana in amazement. " More than you would think" said Brooke winking. Lana smiled and walked over to me. " I think they are going pick me " said Lana jumping up and down. " Well if they are let me give you a little something" I said. I pulled a small box out of my jacket and gave it to Lana. " woah what is it" asked Lana. " it's a special charm bracelet it will show anyone that your name is Lana and you mean business" I said laughing. " I do mean business" laughed Lana. " now how about you go back to the girls and  see if they want to adopt you" I said. Lana walked back over and smiled at the girls. " You are gonna be my moms" said Lana. "We haven't picked you yet" said Connie.
