Chapter 4

( Crescent's POV) After we went inside Chris's house I started to talk to Iris about Brooke and how she was partly a Maiden. ," Can you even believe that they are real after all this time," I asked " Well I kinda knew but I didn't want to make you mad if I said it before," said Iris. " Hey baby it's alright I wouldn't be mad at you for that," I said with a smile. " Awe thank you," said Iris. I look over to see Brooke with Chris. She told me without saying anything that she was gonna be alright. " Hey wasn't he with that other girl two days ago," I asked. " Yeah but she left because she said it was too cold outside that she couldn't stay with him," replied Iris. " hm that's strange most girls love the attention from Chris," I said questioning myself. "I know where she lives if you wanted to ask her," implied Iris. " Nah that's ok I'm sure she is gonna be back for him," I said. " I think we should take Brooke with us just because this whole house is a trap," said Iris. " Well yes and it's getting dark so yeah we should leave this place," I said. " Brooke we are leaving now," I said. She looked at me and got up from the couch. ," Chris it was nice seeing you again," I said trying not to cringe. ," It sure was next time can you bring more girls with you," asked Chris. " No bud I think your good with just one," I said. " or even none," whispered Iris. He closed the door to his house and we all got in the car. " Well that boy is a hot mess," said Brooke. " He is more than that once you get to know him," said Iris. "Well Brooke where do you live," I asked. " Well I live on the top of the hill just down the road," said Brooke. " Why can't she stay any longer," asked Iris "Well she looks tired and not well," I said. " But nothing we can't fix for her," said Iris. " I'm gonna take her home it seems like she has had a long day at that park," I said. As we drove to her house I noticed the trees were all messed up. ," You have a lot of different trees in your yard," I said. " Well yeah having a lot is just good for the environment," said Brooke. " Look there is snow on the ground and some sand," said Iris in a confused look. " Well.... You can buy this stuff online so yep," said Brooke. " I understand that you are a half Maiden but having so many trees and weird stuff in your yard can't be a good thing," I said. " There is more than just me in that house," said Brooke. " Oh well that's so cool," said Iris. ," Well we are at your house so have a goodnight," I said. ," You too and thanks for this free car ride home," said Brooke. As she opened the door, I saw the girl that Chris had at his house. I drove away and didn't say a word about it. * Time Skip* when we got back to our house I was sleepy and cold. ," You want some hot coco," asked Iris ," Yes I would love some," I said. ," I know that today was a rush even for me," said Iris. ," I'm gonna be ok I'm just not feeling ok right now," I said. She brought me my coco ," thank you hun," I said politely. ," Have you seen the twins around town lately," asked Iris ," No I haven't they seem to be missing," I said. ," No they could be doing something outside of town," said Iris. We went upstairs and into the bedroom. ," Do you need your meds again"asked Iris ," Yeah it would be helpful," I said. She brought me my meds and hugged me tightly. ," you're gonna be alright now," She said softly. I changed in the bathroom. When I walked out I saw that Iris was already in bed. I walked over to her and kissed her on the forehead. ," I am gonna sleep downstairs tonight," I said. She pulled on my arm ," No please don't sleep downstairs I need you here with me," said Iris. ," I am just not feeling it tonight sorry," I said. I walked away from the bed and Iris watched me leave the bedroom. I always felt bad when I couldn't sleep with her, I'm just so ill right now.
