Chapter 24

(Olive's POV) We were all talking in the living room and getting to know Anna more. As we were talking I heard the door close. Thea walks in her eyes red, dry tears on her cheeks. "Oh Thea what's wrong, come here sit with me" "sh-she's gone" "Whos gone" asks Connie "N-North, she died" stutters Thea before she starts to sob "Oh my god thea" I bring her in for a hug and everyone else joins. "We're so sorry that you had to see that" i say as everyone goes back to their seats "What are you going to do with the power?" "Well  I'm thinking of adopting a girl and her brother. Passing on the gift to another girl" "What are there names" Brooke asks. That was the first time I've seen her cry. "Coral and Chase" *time skip* After mourning and asking questions We seperated most likely to cry in our rooms. I decided to call sun "Hey olive whats up" I sniffled and managed to say "My sister, North, died" "Oh liv i'm so sorry would you like me to come over" "No it's ok can we meet in the park?" "Of course" I walked to the park and see sun practicing basketball and i smile because he occasionally, no matter how athletic he looks, misses the hoop he turns to see me and runs over to give me a hug. Then he whispers in my ear "I'm so sorry" He lets go and I lean against him as he leads me to the bench saying "Things will get better, I promise" We sit and i say doubtfully "But what if it doesn't, what if things get worse" My eyes start to swell with tears "shh it will be ok liv, plus im here for you" he kisses my forehead. "Y-You will?" I ask Tears flowing down like a river in the woods. "Of course I will" He says "Thanks" I say resting my head on his shoulder The i look up at sun and say "I have something I meant to tell you before you left last time" "What is it?" "Im a-" I looked down and hesitated afraid he would be afraid or confused. He lifted my chin and said "you can tell me" "i'm a maiden and so is north and all of my sisters, I hesitated because i didn't want you to be confused or afraid" "Why would I be afraid, sure i'm a little confused but that doesnt mean i hate you" he smiled a smile as bright as the sun. Heh that was a good use of words " Phew I thought I was going to lose you for the stupidest reason, It's happened before" "Really? To you? I'm surprised. So are you ok about north?" "I guess, you're helping a lot" "It's my pleasure" He kisses my cheek "You missed" I say smiling "No i d-" I gently kiss his lips with eyes closed and when they open sun's eyes were wide open. "Did I do something wrong" "No it was um good, it's just you know...first time" "Aw with your athleticism and charming personality" "Well it's true" He says looking down hiding his red cheeks "Aw you sweet thing" I say as he holds my hand "I have to go back to the house, I will call you tonight" I say letting go as I walk farther away from him.
