Hot days were early this year.

Alice had spent her afternoon at the beach and they'd decided it would be a good and neutral spot to talk.

Her transparent dress barely covering her bikini, she noticed it was already late and started to look for Loki.

It took her a moment to find him.

The last rays of sun were dying, yet the air was still warm. It was almost dark outside and he was sitting on a bench, facing the sea.

As she walked towards him, Alice couldn't describe the emptiness she saw in his blue eyes, something terrible that consumed him.

She sat next to him in silence and waited.

Not a sound left his lips.

Alice knew him too well and she could feel how broken, how tired he was. His blue orbs only reflecting his soul, the pain that tangled around it, crushing it day by day, little by little.

As she tilted her head to take a better look at him, she remembered how his skin felt, warm and soft.

She missed everything about Loki. About them. She missed wrapping around him, creating a sensation in her heart, the alchemy, the connexion that existed between her soul and his.

Alice wanted to feel it again. To feel loved in his embrace, as if neither fear nor pain could ever harm her again. To feel her own skin heat up with his kisses and touches. As she thought about it, the young woman brushed her fingers against her neck.

His kisses.

She could still feel them, like ghosts dancing against her skin and taunting her heart whenever the thought of Loki creeped up inside of her.

''I'm glad you're here.'' Loki finally said.

''Look at me.''

Eventually, he surrendered and his eyes made contact with Alice's.

''I thought you were going to ignore me forever.''

Alice slightly shrugged and a shy smile crossed her lips.

''I didn't.''

It felt weird to be here, realizing that they were just two people, not a couple anymore. In a way, it hurt. But a part of her was excited and full of hope that this would be the start of something new. If it was to be over, Alice knew she'd be able to be at peace with Loki.

''I don't blame you for everything that happened.'' She sighed, ''I just feel a bit... lost.''

''I know.''

Her gaze crossed his and they smiled nervously.

How did he feel ? What did he think ?

Millions of questions were taunting her mind.

Suddenly, Loki extended his arm towards her face, brushing a strand of hair away from Alice's forehead.

The young woman shivered from the slight contact, instantly blushing.

Noticing the red on her skin, Loki's eyes lit up,

''Sorry. Your... hair was in your face.'' He cleared his throat, ''I just moved it so I could... see you better.''

Alice cocked an eyebrow, her heart stuttering as she narrowed her eyes at him,

''Are you flirting with me ?''
