Yes, it was Loki's writing. What it meant...

The night of the wedding, Loki hadn't left without saying a word. He didn't just disappear. In fact, he wanted her to call him.

Alice was still sitting at Loki's desk, breathless. It took her a moment to recollect herself and look up at her professor. She'd been wrong, all this time.

But what was Loki thinking of her now ?

He must have noticed she was stuck daydreaming for a devious smirk came upon his face, ''Are you amazed by Mr. Fischer's talent, Alice ?'' He sarcastically asked.

The young girl shook her head, trying to hide the sudden emotions rushing through her, ''Poor Leo...'' she sighed, quickly grading his paper.

''Poor Leo,'' he repeated, ''are you joking ? I'm pretty sure he was pleased to finally go on a date with you.''

Alice gulped audibly and glared at her professor. Cassandre was still writing in the backroom behind her and she couldn't believe he'd just said that in presence of another student. If this was a game, Alice wasn't going to give up.

''He's not my boyfriend.'' She uttered, making herself clear.

Loki then raised his head from the sheets and their gazes crossed. If something was going to happen, she'd be the one initiating it. She wasn't going to let him go. Not again.

Cassandre eventually placed her paper on the wooden surface, clearing her throat as to catch their attention. It didn't stop Loki from staring at Alice.

''Thank you, professor...'' Cassandre cooed in a sultry voice, ''Ugh... I'll see you tomorrow, in your office.'' she winked, ''I really owe you one...'' She then trotted towards the exit.

Wow. That was unexpected.

Eyes widening, Alice then heard the door slamming behind her. They were alone. Her heart was about to explode, but now she wasn't sure if she wanted to tell Loki how she felt. His green emeralds laid on her and he leaned back in his seat,

''Is there anything you wanted to tell me, Miss Parker ?''

The young girl slowly shook her head. No. There was nothing, not anymore.

Loki sighed as he checked the time.

''Well, it's getting late. These are due tomorrow,'' he nodded towards the pile of documents, ''I can't let you take them to your room, it wouldn't be very professional. What do you say if we go to my place and finish grading these tonight ?''

Alice felt her eyebrows instinctively climbing her forehead, ''To your place,'' she repeated, ''like, your house ?''

Gathering the documents, Loki had already put on his jacket. Alice didn't ask further questions and grabbed her belongings as she silently followed him to the parking.

She climbed into Loki's car, shooting quick glances at him from time to time. His emotionless gaze focused on the road and they didn't exchange a word until he parked the vehicle in front of his house.

Alice could now distinguish the details of the place. Lost in the middle of a field, it looked more like a ninetieth-century villa.

The young girl followed her professor's lead as he opened the door, letting her in. She took a look around her. It was nothing like she remembered. While her eyes wandered over the paintings hanging on the walls, Loki stepped towards her. For a moment, he seemed to have lost control on his own thoughts. Alice shifted to face him, hoping they would finally have a conversation when a loud noise startled her.
