A roller coaster. That's how Taehyung would describe his life.

Everything, since the moment he was born, all the way to where he was now. It was always so... unexpected. So out of his control, so much that he would sometimes wonder if his life was ever his to begin with. It was like living another person's life, never knowing what was going to happen next.

It was chaotic. He was the definition of a calamity with feet.

It all started with his birth.

Flashback time~

On December 30th, the hospitals were calm, as calm as a hospital could get. The number of patients sent to the ER were significantly less than any other season of the year (at least until after New year's) and no already interned patient had permanently taken a nap. Actually, it had been the day with the least movement in all hospitals across the country.

It was holiday vacations and New Year was right around the corner. It was a time to spend happy moments in family and the only worries there should be, besides figuring how to get dinner for thirty ready before midnight, was if the the turkey was well cooked.

It's supposed to be a time of merry and joy. Meeting relatives that were only seen once a year, eating without caring about the diet that they were planning on following, drinking until everyone was plain out making a line to the bathroom to return that evening's mashed potato and simply enjoying the last day of the year.

That is, for those who get to have a family to spend the holidays with.

"Yes, we rescued this one again. His adoptive family was not the right one this time either." The voice of a woman said as she gave the details to the head of the orphanage.

"I see. Since when has he been in the system?" Their voices were quieter than average, but Taehyung knew exactly the topic of discussion. This wasn't the first time he had been in this type of situation.

"As fast as I know, he's always been in the system... registered right after being born." The rest of the words were muffled and things the little boy preferred not to listen to.

Moments later, two women came out of the office and turned to see the small boy that sat right outside the office in the hallway. The woman that had taken Taehyung to that place kneeled to face the young boy.

"Taehyung, this is Sister Kang. She is like the big boss around and will take care of you until we can find you a new family. Be a good boy and try to make some friends, okay?" Taehyung only nodded, not wanting to cause some type of inconvenience and trouble to the adults.

"Good boy. I'm afraid it's time for me to leave, but I'll be back tomorrow with some things for Sister Kang and to see how you're doing. Goodbye, Taehyung."

The woman waved and left. Taehyung was alone now. Again.

Well, he wasn't physically alone, but he had this feeling in the pit of his stomach that always followed him. It has been there ever since he realized how cruel the world could be. Even to little and innocent boys that hadn't done anything wrong at all. He may be only thirteen, but that much he had understood.

"Hello, Taehyung." The boy raised his head and remembered that the head nun was in the hallway with him.

"Hello..." His voice sounded small, but he was used to this. It wasn't new for him to meet new people, specially children and nuns. And new parents, bad parents...

"What's that in your hand." The nun pointed at a sketchpad on the boy's hands and Taehyung just raised the pad towards the middle-aged woman that took it with a smile.
