People say that dying is easy, living is harder. But reciting quotes from characters of American musicals was even easier sometimes. Being born, growing up and dying was a constant circle in which some had it way easier that others. Bangtan had it hard, but victimization was never their thing.
Sometimes it came to extremes that were so ridiculous to the point where the people they had once considered as their second family just betrayed them. It was ironic how much of a sinful move it was.
Did it matter? Yes. Did it affect them? Somehow. Were they surprised? Kind of. Did it hurt? Very deep down. Were they angry? Not that much. Were they sad? Not really. Were they going to do something about it? Absolutely yes.
"I think we all have this clear. Jin hyung, Hobi hyung, you two are in charge of those two. Whoever defies my order can talk to me." Namjoon's tone never changed. It was still cold and collected. Even a betrayal of this magnitude didn't seem to affect him in the least. Others would've soon lost it and throw everything out the window. But Namjoon wasn't others. He knew how to react, when to react. That's what differed him from others.
Personal grudges had always been a sensitive topic in a world where the wrong move can get you killed. Often times the ones working in this kind of business were people that were easily driven by emotions one way or the other. Acting mindlessly and impulsively was the key to failure, and they had that very clear. Self control before everything.
"Let's continue, then. Jimin, mind sharing with us what you found out? I believe my findings will make more sense after yours." The blonde male nodded and walked up to the front.
Images of raw data was soon displayed. Just a bunch of zeros and ones and more codes in green than words in a bible. "I met up with our agents of highest ranking infiltrated in the CIA and FBI. As you may know, these American security agencies sent their men to deal with us after we made our breakthrough in the US. Park HyungSik is one of our best hackers and managed to find crucial information."
The screen, which was once filled with multiple codes, had soon changed to something that finally looked like Korean. At least it looked like Korean.
When had they suddenly stop understanding the language?
"This first file is encrypted. If we change a few words, organize the letters a bit, rearrange the order of the sentences and use some common sense, we got..." With one click, the draft was rearranged, making proper use the Hangul.
Jimin smiled at the result. "As you can see, the message is pretty clear. The CIA and FBI are working together in all of this." Jimin explained. "It's not the first time the two agencies join forces to peak their noses in other countries' affairs, but I digress. Their plan is quite simple actually. While FBI agents are busy with their ambush towards our groups, CIA ships are in charge of stopping our shipment. If they are successful, then they will confiscate all 2000 kg of Venom and transfer it to a secret location via truck. They are working with the South Korean authorities to have permitted jurisdiction for the time being."
Jimin analyzed each of their expressions. It had become a habit of his to read people. Years working with Namjoon and Yoongi had built up this habit and it certainly came in handy when he had to pass his tests to infiltrate the FBI.
He let a smile appear when he caught a smirk forming on a certain raven haired. Yoongi noticed Jimin looking at him and leaned back. "Then we shall not let them succeed." Jimin smiled even bigger at this. The fact that Yoongi winked at him right after finishing the sentence didn't help in concealing the lovestruck smile that made the younger's eyes disappear, forming another pair of smiles.
