CHAPTER TWENTY TWO: JUST LIKE A MOVIE

You and Taehyung had gone out, as a way to just finally relax, and spend some more time together. Especially him, he was really keen on going out. It was kind of suspicious, if you were being honest, but it was cute. Especially because he even gave you a big teddy bear and flowers. Going out on a date with him was the least you could do, plus, it was always fun to go out on dates with him. Though, staying home and watching The Circle on Netflix was quite tempting.
But hey, relationship time is crucial and Tae Time was best time. Taehyung had told you to dress fancy so you decided to go full out. Simple, but elegant, to some it may not seem as much but you felt more expensive than you would for formal events.
The night seemed magical, almost too good to be true. It felt as if you were some female protagonist in a romance movie, and in this movie, Taehyung was the male lead. Holding his hand, traveling in the streets of Seoul, the light music being played in the background. What could possibly happen next in this movie of yours?
He had taken you out to a fancy restaurant, it was late at night, so the lighting in the restaurant was breathtaking. You chuckled to yourself, this really was just like a movie and this scenery was out of a movie set. That amused you, what was next a romantic dance in the moonlight before a big moment. Okay, now you were getting too carried away with this imagination.
"Honey, come on.." Taehyung called out to you, dragging you out of your thoughts. He held out his hand to you, to let you walk in front of him as the path to the table narrowed. He gave a kiss on your hand, and chuckled at his gesture.
You arrived at your table, and Taehyung pulled out your chair so you can sit at ease and he followed suit. The restaurant was absolutely lovely, you were truly amazed. Taehyung loved seeing the wonder in your eyes, like a child in an amusement park for the first time. It was adorable to him, and seeing how happy you were excited him even more for his surprise.
The night continued as you ate and conversed. Being like this with Taehyung made you forget about the arguments, the struggles you both had faced in the relationship. It seemed like in that moment you were happy to have the ability to have someone like him be in your life. You cared about him, and him going out of his way like this, you were truly touched.
"I still remember our first date." Taehyung grinned as he put down his napkin.
His smile was contagious. "Ah yes, when you fell into the duck pond, that was-.. that was priceless."
Taehyung laughed in embarrassment, his hands coming up to cover his face. "Noooooo! I thought we agreed that stayed in the never-mention-box."
"Not my fault you brought it up." You teased.
"I swear, if I wasn't the one paying I would've ordered so much more food just to make your credit card suffer." He threatened with his fork.
You scoffed. "Credit cards have feelings too, now apologize to Cardi, if not I'm not giving you any kisses from here on out."
Taehyung wasn't amused. "Honey, thats a credit card. Not the beauty that is Brad Pitt."
You gave him a glare. "You know what, I am gonna leave." You quoted gathering your things for dramatic effect. Smirking to yourself in the process, knowing it'd fluster the hell of out Taehyung.
"Babe, at least let me pay the check first!" He whined, quickly rushing for his wallet.

After dinner, Taehyung had you guys stroll around the streets. Holding your hand and playing games like, don't step on a crack. The night was going according to plan, and in just a couple of minutes he was going to bring in the surprise. His palms began to sweat and he just prayed you wouldn't notice.
These nerves reminded him of when he first asked you out and how flustered the two of you were. So young and stupid, but he still found you cute. At that moment, he never expected to be here next to you. He knew you were gorgeous, but right now you shone brighter than a thousand diamonds.
He couldn't contain it.
This was it.
It was now or never.
One of the biggest decisions of your lives.
"Hold on a second, I want to say something important to you.." Taehyung spoke up, taking a much more gentle, yet serious tone.
You tilted your head out of habit. Curiosity overcame you, you recognized his tone, it was soft so you didn't expect anything bad escaping his lips. Suspense filled you up as you looked at him in the eye.
Taehyung took a hold of both of your hands, caressing your knuckles with his thumbs. He gave you a smile and sighed. "I really don't know how to start with this... For years we have been together, and for years I have loved you. It's been a long time since I first told you I loved you, and since then I know we have had our ups and downs. I know, we once wanted to start a family, and unfortunately the odds weren't in our favor. And I don't know what the world will hit us with in the next few hours, tomorrow, or maybe the next minute. But one thing I do know, right here, right now, is that I want to be with you for the rest of my life..." He recited.
Your lips parted in shock, your hand came up to cup your mouth as you stepped back a bit.
He reached in his pocket as he knelt down.
Your eyes were met with a beautiful ring, glimmering with the streetlights. You felt the tears begin to fog up your vision. So many emotions had erupted in your body in just a couple of seconds.
"Kwon (Y/n)... Will you do me the honor and make me the happiest man, and marry me?"

i am back! i know i haven't updated my books in months, but i think it's safe to say that i will be returning to updating much more frequently. i was just going through some personal issues, and reading has been an escape so i've been inspired to write again.
