The Peacekeeper

Chapter 9

I was woken up by Talia this morning. She poured a bucket of water on me to wake me up. Of course it woke Daniel up too since he was behind me.

"Cece!! get up!! we have school" Talia shouted. I was up and ready in a jiffy. I showered and got changed into my white skinny jeans, my dark blue t-shirt that had the owls sign on it.

Talia and Daniel told me all about the 2 sheffield football teams. The owls and the blades (a.k.a sheffield wednesday, and sheffield united). The whole pack supported the owls.

I also put on my bright blue converse and my black jacket. It didn't take me long to get ready because I was excited for today. School is the only way I can see Kat for now. What with training after school. I really need to go see them when I can.

"Morning" I said when I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning Luna" The pack said. I smiled and sat down next to Daniel at the top of the table. We all settled into a chatter until Brittany walked in with her minions. Everyone was looking between Brittany and me as we had a staring contest. She growled and so did I, only mine was more powerful. Everyone was suprised by that but said nothing. Eventually Brittany submitted and sat down at the bottom of the table. Then we all continued eating.

Once we all finished, the ones that were still in school all went. Me, Daniel and Talia all went a little later. We went in Daniels blue lambourghini. He said he wanted to show me off today so why not do it with a nice car. Of course Daniel wanted to do that.

Once we were at school he parked in front, so everyone could see. He got out, then he opened my door and helped me out. Everyone was watching us. I was getting glares from the girls and some boys were giving me lustful looks until Daniel gave them a death glare. Daniel closed my door once I was out and he held my hand and led me inside. He changed my schedule so that I was in all the same classes as him. I looked out for Kat on our way but I couldn't find her. I couldn't see Blaze either.

Our first class was Spanish, so he led me to the class. When we walked in all eyes were on us. Daniel ignored them and walked to his desk. The desks are joined in two, so I sit next to him. Then I look at the teacher.

"Hola profe, soy Cecilia" I said. The teacher looked surprised. I learnt how to speak Spanish when I was in Newcastle.

"Hola Cecilia, soy señor Black" The teacher said. Then he got on with the lesson. I was already fluent in Spanish so I zoned out until I heard the bell. I stood up, got my bag and walked out with Daniel.

"How do you know how to speak spanish?" He asked. I shrugged.

"I was in newcastle and I met quite a few spanish people. They taught me" I said. Daniel nodded in understanding. Our next lesson was Maths. I let Daniel lead me but I already knew where the classroom was. This time the desks were seperate so Daniel pulled his and an empty one together. I shook my head at him and sat down.

"You know, you can't just mess up seating arangements" I told Daniel. He shrugged.

"I'm there alpha, they can't tell me off" He said.

"But I can, so stop it Daniel, you're gonna have to get used to the space" I said. He looked suprised but dropped it anyway. Then I tuned into what the teacher was saying.

"Pi means 3.14, you use it to calculate the area of a circle..." He droned on. I got bored so I tuned out until the end of class.

At the end of school we got a suprise. The leader of vampires was outside waiting for me and Daniel.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here. The almighty alpha and his Luna" He said. Daniel growled and stepped forward but I stopped him.

"What do you want" I said, venom in my voice. He wasn't here for nothing.

"I want you to come with me or Daniels sister gets it" He said. I looked around. Talia wasn't here but the girls were and some were crying.

"Where is she" I shouted. He chuckled and moved out the way to reveal Talia with a knife at her throat. I could smell silver on it and I growled.

"Let her go and I'll come with you" I said, facing the vampire. He chuckled.

"I'm not that stupid Cecilia" He said. I growled again.

"Fine" I said, then I heard Daniel growl.

"No!" He said. I turned to him and walked up to him.

"I can deal with them, I'll be fine" I reassured him.

"I won't let you go with him" He said.

"Daniel I'll be ok, remember what my mum said about me" I said, whispering the last part. He paused then nodded.

"Ok fine, but come back safe" He said. I nodded and walked up to the vampire. He smiled and roughly grabbed my arm. I just looked at his hand and then up at him. He seemed suprised that I wasn't in pain. He nodded to the other vampire and he slit Talia's throat.

"No! We had a deal!" I yelled at him. He chuckled.

"Vampires don't make deals" He said. At that I got angry and kicked him where the sun don't shine. He let go of me and fell to the floor. I ran to the over vampire and did the same. Two pack members came and dragged them away. I bent down to Talia. Daniel was already with her. I looked at him.

"Get her in the forest, I can't heal her in front of everyone" I whispered. He nodded and picked Talia up. Then we ran far into the forest. When we were far enough, Daniel put Talia down. I knelt down next to her and put my hands over her throat. I imagined the silver coming out and the slit healing up. I heard Daniel gasp and then I heard Talia breathing. I looked up at the silver floating around and made it disappear. Then I looked at Talia and Daniel. Daniel was looking at me shocked and Talia was deep in thought. When she realized what happened she started crying. I hugged her and she held on to me like a lifeline. When she calmed down she looked between me and Daniel.

"How am I still here?" She asked. I looked at Daniel and back down at Talia.

"I healed you, my mum is the Moon Goddess" I said. She looked suprised then she slowly nodded as she took it in.

"I brought you out here because I didn't want anyone else knowing yet, not until the attack. Please don't tell anyone" I said. She nodded in understanding.

"Come on, let's go home" Daniel said. We helped Talia up and walked home. When we got in everyone surrounded Talia asking her questions. She looked at me and I shook my head. She didn't know what to say so I stepped in.

"I took her into the forest because I know theres some healing properties there" I lied easily. They all nodded and walked off. I watched them all walk away then I saw Brittany glaring at me. I gave her a death glare and she huffed and walked off. I smiled in triumph and walked into the living room.

I sat down next to Daniel but he pulled me into his lap. Talia laughed and so did the girls. I playfully glared at them and smiled.

"Really Daniel?" I asked. He nodded.

"I'm just glad you're safe. You were really brave with them vampires" He said, sniffing my neck to calm himself down. I smiled.

"Trust me, I've seen worse in London" I said shivering. After a while of talking, I looked outside to se it was dark. I said goodnight to everyone and went up to bed. I got changed and fell alseep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
