Peter

Monday mornings were the worst. Peter didn't normally complain about staying out late as Spider-Man, but part of him wished he had gone to bed just a little bit earlier. He felt like he was going to fall asleep in Art History.

He and Ned shared the class, along with Kai and Alexandra. Normally, Peter would be sort of interested in what they were talking about in class that day, but it was Monday and he really didn't feel like listening. If he was being totally honest, he had only agreed to take this class because Alexandra had signed up for it and he wanted a class with her.

Plus that one episode of Doctor Who with Vincent Van Gogh was pretty cool.

"Dude!" Ned whispered, nudging Peter's arm.

"Huh?" Peter's head shot up and he looked at Ned. "Oh, sorry." He had been falling asleep in class. Again. Consequences of being a web-slinging crime fighter in his off time.

"Mrs. Mills is explaining Friday's field trip," Ned told him. "You might wanna pay attention."

Peter nodded and then looked up to the front of the class. Their art history class was taking a field trip that Friday to the Museum of Modern Art. Peter had been looking forward to the trip for a few weeks.

Alexandra and Kai had been ecstatic about the trip for the last week and a half. They were both art nerds, if Peter was being totally honest. They were really good at the class, too. So they always helped Peter and Ned with their homework, since they were more science and math kids than artsy ones. Somehow, Alexandra and Kai were both, though they both tended to generally lean more towards the arts and humanities when it came to preferences.

They were going to take one bus (there were only like twenty kids in their class) and meet at the front of the school on Friday at 8AM, the field trip would last all day, and they would get back to school around 2:15PM, fifteen minutes before the bell rang for school to get out. Mrs. Mills said they could bring their own lunch, or bring money to buy lunch somewhere in Manhattan.

The bell rang, signaling the end of class. On their way out, they grabbed their permission slips and then headed out into the hallway. Alexandra came up behind Peter and grabbed his hand, smiling. "Excited for the field trip?" She asked him.

He nodded, stifling a yawn. "It'll be fun," He responded. What class did he have next? Oh yeah, AP calculus. Peter internally groaned as they walked down the hall. He normally walked Alexandra to her next class, because he was a good boyfriend like that.

"You tired?" Alexandra asked. Peter nodded. "Try not to fall asleep in calculus, Mr. Gilson will steal your soul and give you an F if you do."

"Yeah, I know," He sighed. "How are you not exhausted?"

Alexandra shrugged cheerfully. "Maybe because I haven't been doing this as long as you have." Her reason didn't sound rational to Peter at all. "Also—I am—I'm just way better at hiding it than you are."

"Ugh. Not fair."

They reached Alexandra's next class, AP English Language, and Peter smiled tiredly at her. "Okay, I guess I should get to calculus." He sighed. "Math is stupid."

"And yet you're stupidly good at it," Alexandra replied, poking him in the arm. "See ya at lunch, Peter."

"Yeah, see ya." He nodded before pressing a kiss to her cheek, causing her to smile. A success. "I love you."

"I love you, too, Parker." She grinned at him.

"Oh, we're doing last names today, huh?" He asked, faking offense.
