Peter
A lot of weird things had happened to Peter in what felt like, to him, a very short amount of time.
First, he fought an alien trying to protect a wizard with a magic rock that could very well determine the fate of the entire universe. Then, he had been abducted by said alien along with said wizard and magic rock. And then, he had been stranded on an alien planet with a group of alien superheroes, one of whom happened to share his name, and they had fought an all powerful, giant purple alien who wanted to wipe half of all life out of existence.
Oh—yeah—and then he had died. The purple guy sort of beat them. Not sort of. He did. He totally beat them.
And now he was back, but apparently it was five years later, and he had now been thrown into an even larger battle where he had paused briefly to share a tender and loving hug with his mentor—who he had come to see as a father-figure of sorts.
"Oh, this is nice."
Yeah, things had been weird lately.
Here he was, in the middle of a giant war between the giant purple alien called Thanos and the Avengers & co.
"Scott, how long d'you need to get that thing working?" Mr Stark asked.
"Maybe ten minutes," A familiar voice answered. Scott. The giant guy from Germany.
Peter shot a web at an alien and sent a wave of electricity down the web, effectively shocking the alien. He glanced over at Alexandra, who was also fending off a few alien soldiers. "Who the heck is Scott?" She called.
"Uh—the giant guy!" Peter replied, slamming his fist into an alien's face. "He can also get really small! He's called Ant-Man, I think!"
"Right. Obviously," Alexandra grunted as she blocked another alien's blade. "Uh—help, please! Help would be—good!"
"I've got you!" Peter sprung into action, jumping on to the alien's back and kicking him as hard as he could, sending his face colliding with the ground.
Alexandra heaved in a deep breath. "Thanks."
Peter nodded and then turned his head, suddenly spotting the Black Panther in trouble. He seemed to be carrying something that Thanos wanted, and was being chased as a result. Without a second thought, he raced in the Black Panther's direction.
"Peter!" He heard Alexandra call.
"Be right back!" He assured her as he dashed across the battlefield towards Black Panther. "I got it!" He called, swinging in and grabbing the glove that housed the Infinity Stones. He started running. They started chasing him.
Typical.
"Oh, shit!" He was being overwhelmed by aliens. "Karen, activate Instant Kill!"
Suddenly, his lenses turned red and the spider arms that were attached to his back began to stab the aliens. Peter couldn't help but mutter a string of apologizes as each alien was the next victim of the suit. Of him, really.
"I got this, I got this!" But there were too many of them, and Peter was going to get swamped. He panicked. "Okay, uh, I don't got this! Somebody help!" He yelled, hoping someone on the comms would come to his rescue.
"Hey, Queens, heads up!" He heard Captain America yell and then throw something in his direction. It was Thor's hammer, Mjölnir, and it was coming towards him at lightening fast speed (obviously).
Peter shot a web, latching onto the magical hammer. He was pulled from the swarm of alien soldiers and was suddenly gliding alongside the hammer. "This is the coolest thing that's ever happened to me!" He yelled, zipping through the air. It also vaguely occurred to him that Captain America had been the one to throw the hammer—very cool.
