It was around midday when Y/N received a quiet knock on her front door, sending Ginger right off her lap to paw and meow at it. It wasn't the feline's usual reaction to visitors, but the woman was quick to connect the dots and got up from her spot on the couch. As expected, when she opened the door, she came face-to-face with a collection of black cats that cover the face of the stray man she had visited a few days ago. Looking past him, she found the sky was clear of clouds without a storm in sight, so she assumed he came in search of food. Sighing softly, the woman nudges her head to gesture to the inside of her home.

"All right, come in. What do you want this time?" She was unbothered by the unexpected visit, already used to Lorenzo showing up whenever he pleased. Even if she wasn't, she had no reason to be upset over it, especially since she had invited him to come over from time-to-time to make sure he's all right. Even though she had left enough room for the man to come in, Lorenzo remains outside, while his felines jump down to make themselves at home, revealing that his gaze is on the ground and that his ears are pinned back.

His silence makes Y/N's smile droop as she tilts her head to look into his different colored eyes. "Are you feeling okay? Did you get sick again?" Unresponsive, Lorenzo walks past the woman into the house, keeping his gaze off her. A little weirded out, she shuts the door and turns to face him, but he keeps his back to her.

"I've got somethin' to say," he mutters in a low voice, like he didn't want to tell her anything. She half-expected him to say never mind and walk out of there. "And, I want us to be alone when I say it." Lorenzo's eyes drift over towards where his brothers had gone before looking down at his feet, where Ginger rubs against his ankles both in greeting and comfort. The tabby was able to sense his sadness. With a gentle expression on his face, the cat-man crouches down to give the cat an appreciative pet on the head, much to her delight, and she starts purring.

"Uh... Sure." Puzzled by his odd behavior, Y/N gestures the man to follow her into the bedroom, where they'll be away from the cats. Ginger planned to follow after them until she was sent a stern look by Lorenzo, which turned her eyes vibrant gold. Obeying the silent command, she turns away to sit in the living room with the other cats. This has to be done in private. He didn't want to be teased or even cheered on for this conversation. He might be tempted to run away, then. Y/N shuts the door to ensure they'd not be interrupted by the felines, while he stares at the bed.

"Sit."

"... Okay." She felt she shouldn't fight him on this, though she did not care for being bossed around. He was acting so serious that she had to know the reason why, so she sat on the edge of the mattress, facing him, while leaning back on her palms. "What's up? You haven't given me one insult since you walked through the door," she jokes, feeling uncomfortable with the atmosphere, and even forced a little smile. With an annoyed groan, his tail sways back and forth after unraveling from around his hips. He brushes off her attempt at easing the tension and reaches a trembling hand into his coat pocket.
