Chapter Five
I woke up with to the sun shining in my eyes. I rubbed them and slowly sat up, letting out a huge yawn in the process. 'Man what a weird dream' I thought to myself, slowly opening my tired eyes. The dream was still so vivid and those eery blue eyes still stayed in my head. I gasped realizing with a start that this wasn't my room. I was in a giant king sized bed with golden silk sheets and what seemed like a million pillows. I should have known really, my single bed at home was much less comfortable. The bed seemed to have a top part to it, with silver drapes hanging down the corners. I looked down at my clothes and discovered that I was wearing a white nightgown that reached just below my knees. It was very comfortable but I was still scared, wondering where I was and who may have changed me. I climbed out of the bed and made my way towards the door, only to find that it was locked.
Then it dawned on me like an avalanche. Was my strange dream real? Did a man named Loki actually take me away? I ran over my dream in my head and glimpsed at my left foot, remembering I hurt it badly. My foot seemed fine though. I stood on it, wiggled my toes and no pain shot up my leg. Puzzled, I paced around the room looking for a bathroom. I expected the bathroom to be as extravagant as the bedroom, but I was wrong. It was just like any other normal bathroom really, nothing special. It had white tiled flooring with a stand up shower in the corner with a sliding door, with a small white toilet beside it. The counter was a black marble with a white sink. Above the counter there was a small round mirror with a silver frame. I splashed my face with water for a few minutes making myself fully awake, then strolled back into the bedroom to do some more exploring. After all, if my dream was true I'd be staying in this room for a long time.
"Now where are some clothes I could change into" I mumbled to myself, searching the room. I could feel the cool hardwood floor beneath me as I spied an old closet in the corner of the room along with a full length mirror. I quickly ran over to it, eager to see what was inside. Just as I had my fingers wrapped around the old wood a knock came at the door. A knot of fear made its way up my throat but I swallowed it down and yelled "Who is it?". I heard the door being unlocked so I slowly walked towards the door, curious to who was on the other side. The door opened and Loki walked in wearing a slightly different costume then I remembered him in. He wore black pants with a white button up shirt underneath a black coat with a green scarf tucked around the neck. He was dressed actually quite normal. He smiled at me saying "Finally you're awake! You've been asleep for three days dear mortal. I guess it was from all the traumatic events and how I had to put you asleep to successfully heal your foot..." "Three days?!" I interrupted "I've been asleep for three days?! This is crazy. So I guess everything that happened wasn't a dream?" I asked him. Loki stepped closer to me, his smile fading "No my lady, it wasn't a dream". I stood there stunned and staring at him until he cleared his throat saying "But your foot is better yes?" he nodded at my foot. "Yes it feels much better thank you." Loki's eyes fell on my nightgown and I suddenly felt insecure and exposed, a blush forming on my my cheeks. Loki seemed to see how uncomfortable I was so after a bit of an awkward pause he cleared his throat again and turned towards the door "If you need anything just knock on the door and my servant will come to your aid." "Wait" I called out, walking towards him. One hand was curled around the doorknob but Loki turned his head towards me curiously, his eyes meeting mine "Yes?".
I stumbled and tripped over my words, becoming nervous under his gaze. "Im still mad and upset over you taking me away, but I understand what I had to do. But what I don't understand is, why did you save me when Thor slammed his hammer down? You could have just left me and the deal would have been over." Loki turned around, letting go of the doorknob. He stared at me at a loss for words and then glared at me. "Well... I.. Well of course I saved you. You would have been crushed under Thor's anger and I couldn't just let you die" he stepped closer to me glaring menacingly but strangely I wasn't as afraid as before. His gaze held mine intensely and I cleared my throat. "Oh. Well thank you I guess." I mumbled, rubbing my arms. He smiled and muttered "Mortals are so peculiar.." and turned to leave. "My name is Amy Clark Loki. Just so you don't have to call me 'mortal' anymore" I said. Loki chuckled, his back still facing me. "It's nice to meet you Lady Clark" Loki said while he stepped out the door, leaving me alone to my thoughts. Loki was one of the most confusing men I had ever met. But to be fair, he wasn't like most men. But just then he seemed almost nice, but he's killed people. I had no idea what I was heading into with my new life hear, but I knew one thing for sure. It was going to be interesting.
