I never thought I'd write this book. When I was 14(2010) I thought I was putting down Pokemon for good with my final game being Platinum Version. When I saw Hilbert, Hilda and the Pokemon for Gen 5 I felt like laughing. I was certain the franchise had gone downhill. But I decided to give it a try in 2013 and immediately fell in love with the story. B/W gave me hope that the franchise could indeed tell meaningful stories, and I wanted to do the same by writing this book.
Scattered throughout this book are references to other Pokemon fanfics(indicating a shared world), subtle clues to plot secrets, and Easter Eggs(references to pop culture, history, random hidden content, symbolism etc). Be alert if you want to spot em all.
This book is rated PG13, but its target audience are those who are young adults 15 years and older. Some readers have addressed to me that the themes in my book are too heavy, so right now I'm giving you a heads up; If you're the squeamish type, I suggest you stop at this page.
Trust me- when I say heavy, I mean HEAVY.
