p.o.v. Simon:
"Okay, why exactly would I ditch my friend for you?"
Well, she didn't flip out yet, this was a pretty calm answer. I hope Steven doesn't mess it up with his answer. I pray to god he doesn't insult me any further, or he will get it.
"Friend? Oh please, you don't mean that. I know you would never be friends with such a disgusting piece of shit. He's not worth your time. You don't have to be friends with him just because you feel sorry for him. You can just be friends with the popular ones like me."
He's dead. He is definitely going to die. Is he crazy!? Why does he want to die this badly? Oh lord please help this poor boy, he is so going to die. I feel sorry for him.
I saw C looking down at the floor and starting to shake.
"Oh, shit..."
After I said that, I started to take some steps back. Then I heard Jack screaming.
"STEVEN! DID YOU JUST MAKE HER CRY I SWEAR I'M GO-"
He was cut off by Caroline's laughter. It wasn't her normal laugh. It was a crazy one. She sounded like someone that was completely insane. Do you know that moment when someone is just completely mental and starts laughing like they're about to kill someone? Yeah, it was this kind of laugh.
I always shudder when she starts laughing like this. It gives me the chills. It just is creeping me out.
Caroline was now slowly walking towards Steven with an evil smirk plastered on her face. No one dared to move. Some were confused but you could see fright written over everyone's faces.
"What did you just call my friends?"
Caroline was chuckling lightly and a nervous laugh escaped Steven's lips.
"I-I didn't say anything. Just that they are great people."
"Oh, Steven. You don't need to lie to me. We're friends, aren't we?"
Caroline wasn't nearly as tall as Steven and even tho he was towering over her it seemed as if he was the tinier one. With every small step, she took in his direction he took one big step back. He shrieked down under her gaze.
"Caroline, I-I am sorry. It-it was a dare."
Caroline just tilted her head to the side. Her smirk never fading."Oh really. It was a dare?"
Steven just gulped and nodded.
"Now, now who would dare you to say such a thing?"
"He-henry."
Caroline's head snapped in Henry's direction. You could see Henry visibly pale and he started to shake lightly.
"Henry."
She spat his name venomously. By now the students had all formed a circle around the scene.
"So you were the one who told Steven to say those things?"
Henry didn't dare to move.
"Tell me. Now."
Caroline's voice rose a bit as she said those words. At her words, Henry took a step back and started to laugh nervously.
"Well, you see...I thought it may be funny to watch how'd you react if someone came up to you and insulted your friends."
As soon as he finished talking he had almost reached the wall behind him because he had continuously walked away from Caroline.
With that answer, he's definitely already six feet under.
"You thought it may be...funny?"
Caroline's voice held no emotion at all. Everyone in the room started shaking. By now a dark aura was surrounding her. She's been this protective over Hannah ever since I knew her and she started being it with me too as soon as I had told her about my past. I had told her and Hannah everything about my past. Everything that I just wanted to forget. Everything that made me sad every day. The reason why I wanted to take my life.
If it hadn't been for Hannah's and Caroline's friendship and their support, I don't know if I'd still be there. If I'd ever lost them, I don't know what I would do.
The way Caroline is acting now is just because she doesn't want me to get hurt again.
While I was thinking about this whole situation, I didn't notice how close C was to Henry now.
Henry was already backed up to the wall and Caroline still kept getting closer.
"Henry. You do know it isn't nice to insult people for fun, don't you?"
"Y-yes I-I k-know."
"Are you sure because this is what you just did."
I had to do something. This won't end well for Henry.
Before I could say anything, Jack spoke up.
"Caroline...please. I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt anyone in any kind of way."
Caroline looked in Jack's direction and her eyes immediately softened.
"It may be this way but he has to learn his lesson. I'm sorry."
She mumbled the last part before looking at Henry again.
She was the snake and he was the mouse.
Caroline was balling her fist up and pulled back her arm ready to punch him.
I saw Jack walk over to Caroline at the exact moment I called out to her and then the teacher came in.
"WHAT IS GOING ON!?"
Jack now reached Caroline and pulled down her arm.
Jack started to explain the whole thing. In the end, Henry, Caroline, and Jack got stuck with detention.
