The Streetfighter

Chapter 12

p.o.v. Cole:

I brought Mika to the hospital. The ride was quiet and the traffic was horrible. Mika could have driven there on her own since she knows how to drive but she's only 15. Hannah was waiting for her in front of the emergency room and as she saw Mika she ran to her and hugged her. I stayed behind since we didn't know each other so well.

I withdraw a bit further to give them a little bit more space since they got really close. I took my phone and answered a few messages including 10 from father. I told him that I brought Mika to the hospital because Hannah had called her and asked her to come.

He was incredibly understanding but it's his little princess.

Hannah's brother has gotten out of hospital and Hannah and my sister started dating.

Who would have thought Mika was bisexual? I'm proud of her though.

Simon and I also got closer. We started dating and I'm always very happy when he's around me. I'm starting to develop strong feelings for him.

It makes me happy but I also worry about it. I don't know if he could handle my life. The life in the Underground is dangerous. I don't want him to get hurt in any way.

That is not all I worry about. I also need to find out who these streetfighters are. Lightning and Thunder. Those two are really good at fighting. We need them in our gang. But not only those two have caught my interest. There's a street racer called Flash. It's always good to have someone like her in a gang. Also, I found out that these three are called the Storm-Trio because every time one of them has a fight or a race the other two aren't that far away.

~~Two weeks later ~~

A little time ago I arranged a meeting with a gang member of ours. She had to help me find out who the Storm-Trio is. She is the best in that business. She asked me a lot of questions and then she went to work. It took her more than usual because they didn't leave any traces of their personal life but she found them in one month. Which is pretty fast for three people.

Today is the day. I will find out who they are. I have such a bad feeling about it.

p. o. v. Hannah:

Dylan is at home now but he's recovering really slowly. Mika helps me with the cleaning of the wounds and takes care of the house. Simon isn't much of a help since he is dating Cole but I'm happy for him he deserves this. Mika and I are also dating. When we got to know each other I fell in love with her and I'm so happy about it. She is the kindest person I know. Caroline and Jack are also dating.

I told Mika that I am a street racer. I thought that she should know this and I trust her so I didn't see a problem with telling her. She was shocked at first but now she is there at every race I have to make sure I am ok. It's really sweet of her.

I just wish she would trust me more. I got to know just little parts of her story and there's still so much missing of the whole. I don't know why she doesn't tell me. I love her.

~~late at night~~

My phone started ringing. I looked at the display and saw Mika's name on it. I picked up and said:" Hey babe."

"Hey..."

I immediately heard the worry in her voice and asked:" What's wrong Mika?"

"Cole knows."

"What does he know."

"He knows that you're a street racer."

"But why are you worrying so much."

"He also knows about C and Simon and he..."

"Wait how does he know about them?"

"Not important."

"Mika, why are you so worried about it. It's not like he has a gang or something and wants them for his services."

"Hannah we have to talk about something but it has to wait till tomorrow."

"What?!"

"I can't tell you on the phone. It wouldn't be right."
"Mika what is it. Tell me now, please."

"I can't."

And with that, she ended the call. I was thinking about the reasons why she sounded so worried. I was asking myself if I said something that actually is true during the call. The whole night I was only thinking about it. I am scared as hell.
