Chapter 3

"Some people are suffering and you'll never know because they suffer in silence"

"HE'S MINE"
"NO!! HE'S MINE"
"NO! IT CAN'T BE. HE'S MINE!"
"OF COURSE NOT. HE'S MINE. ONLY MINE!"
"LIAR. HE IS MINE!"
"NO!! HE. IS. MINE"
"MINE!!"
"MINE!"

"CAN YOU BOTH PLEASE SHUT UP THIS INSTANT?!"

I sighed. I introduce you, my two very idiotic friends, Marco Evans and Katherine Morales. They know how much i have suffered for the past years and they are the only few who have stuck by my side. They helped me, supported me and dealt with my depressed state so it's only fair that i put up with them.

"I swear you two fight just like Tom and Jerry"

"Well, he's the mouse" Katherine said.
"Nuh uh, I'm the kitty biatch" Marco said.
"OKAY. Stop fighting or else I'm gonna tell Alpha." The both shut up. I chuckled, these guys i swear they fight like an old couple.

"Whatever you say, he is mine. Only mine" I heard Marco whispered. I shook my head.

Right now, we're on the garden by the woods, taking our time off of training. Sure we may be the toughest pack out there but that doesn't stop the rouges trying to trespass in our lands. It has been weeks after i talked and cried under the watchful gazes of the stars. I have been working my ass off because of the rouges and of course my oncoming mission. The only people who knew about it is the current Alpha, Kathy and Marco. They were sworn to secrecy. They know that the pain i struggled through all these years is nothing compared to the pain they felt. I'm the one who lost someone afterall.

I turned my head and stared at the woods ahead of us. I'm coming to get you. You won't know what hit you until it already happened. I won't give up. I swear.

I was brought out on my internal monologue when i heard a loud shriek. I looked at my friends just about when Kathy tackled Marco off the ground.

Oh no, what happened this time.

I broke the two apart and asked what happened.

"The problem is that the parents of this one let him grow up as a pussy" Kathy said while pointing an accusatory finger at Marco.
"I don't even know how you got to be one of the best warriors" she added.
"Oh yeah, speaking of your parents, how are they?" i asked.
"Oh, they're doing great i guess. I mean they're busy but we talk for hours when we both have our free time." Marco said trying to be nonchalant about it but his eyes betrayed him.
"Hey, it's okay. Elise and I are here for you. Even my parents and the Alpha and Luna" Kathy had said, momentatily forgetting about their previous fight.
"Yeah, it's better to have both parents far away rather than having no parents at all"
As soon as he said that, he went frigid, Kathy tensed and I fought the heavy feeling that seeped out through me and just played it off.
"Shit, Elise, i'm sorry, i didn't mean it. It just came off of my mouth and i-i, i" i cut him off
"Hey, hey it's alright. It's okay. I hold no grudge" i smiled. He seemed reluctant but accepted it anyways.

"Anyways, i got to go. I'm gonna go somewhere. Just mindlink me when i'm needed, 'kay?" i said.
"Oh-kay" they said, still hesitant but learnt to let it go for the meantime.

I walked away and headed towards the familiar path. The path i have grown to love and hate. Love because it's a path towards my loved ones and hate because it's path leading towards the pack cemetery.

Hours passed and the moon is peaking out the sky. The sun has began to set, stars are coming out to show a little bit of light and yet i'm still here, talking to the tombstones which stared right back at me.

Alpha Roy Johnson
Known to be a great, wise leader
A loving son, father and husband.

Luna Lyssa Rose Johnson
Known to be a kind-hearted leader
A loving daughter, sister, mother and wife.

I have released all my pent-up emotions for the last weeks and yet i can still feel it burdening its weight down my shoulders. Oh how i terribly missed them.

I grazed my fingers towards words and stopped. Mother.

"Be strong, my pup" taking her last breath

"Oh hear thy cries of your suffering child, Selene"

i whispered mournfully towards the night sky, wishing that someone would atleast hear me. But again, no one did.

I stood up and looked back one last time and turned away. Heading back, i sighed.

Here's again to a sleepless night.

Wow that's longer than i had expected. Well here it is a chapter which you've seen another glimpse of what Elise is going through. You shall wait because i tell ya, starting here and onwards, chapters are gonna be a little bit more interesting.
