Chapter 15

Elise's POV

The cold breeze of the air softly blew along the trees of the forest. The soft lullaby kf the waterfall has got me in a tranquil state.

At last, i got some peace even just for a few moment.

It has been four days after my date with Raeven and to say that it didn't affect me at all would be a lie. In fact, everytime someone mentions that night or even just his name, i find it troubling to make my blush disappear. He had gone home to his pack but he promised to visit here soon enough and have more quality time with me. That was 2 days ago, when they left to go back to their pack.

His sister, Rosaline, is such a ray of sunshine. I grew fond of her because i saw myself in her when i was a youngling like her. She doesn't want to go back with her brother but one promise from me and she obeyed. Of course, she made me do a pinky promise.

I never knew pinky promises were still used up to this generation.

*Flashback

"Hey little princess, come on out. Daddy is here." Says daddy on the other side od the door.

I only answered with a whimper.

I am in my room right now and i sat behind my locked door. They were making me come out but i don't want to. They told me that we were gonna visit my aunt Tessie but i don't want to go. She kept pinching my cheeks which would stay red all day long. She would also keep kissing me filling my face with red lipstick.

"Come on now princess. Daddy's gonna give you what you want."

I perked up at that. I am craving some ice cream right now. I stood up and creaked the door open so that i would know if they are telling the truth or not.

"Do you promise?" i asked while holding my pinky finger out.

My mommy looked at my daddy and daddy sighed.

"Yes princess i promise." Daddy said locking his big pinky finger with my little one.

I smiled and came out of my room.
*End of Flashback

I smiled softly at the memory. It was one of my favorite family moments. I then chuckled under my breath when i remembered that day perfectly. Ever since that pinky promise, i made sure to use it whenever they made mo do things that i'm not particularly fond of. It was worth it though because at the end of the day, i have ice cream in my hands and my tummy is full.

I stayed in the waterfall for a few more hours when i decided to come back. Maybe someone needs me and they can't found me. That waterfall has been my haven for who knows how long and only Marco and Kathy knew about it. But no one knew the cave behind the waterfall where i go when i want to be isolated for awhile. It was well hidden so that explains it.

As i was walking back towards the pack house, i felt the hairs on my arms rise up telling me that something wrong happened. I shook it off and quickly changed my direction to my house and  walked faster.

So help me God if one of my family got hurt.

Not long after, my house entered my vision and my gut feeling just got worse.

And so i ran.

I busted my door open and when i entered my living room, i was met by a sight that made me even more nervous.

"Raeven?"

And when he looked up, my heart broke into two.

I quickly kneeled infront of him and looked him over for injuries.
