Chapter 7

ELISE'S POV

"And here we go again everybody, going through another round of walking into the woods. I don't really know what's happening or where we're going, but you know what? Of course you don't!! Hahahah got you there, right?! Yeah, i got ya. Anyways, you know what i don't care. Yeah! That's right. I. Don't. Care. You know why? Who am i kidding? Of course you don't. Anyways, it's because of our fierceless warrior here ahead of us. Yeah that's right! She's fierceless. She could be facing a venomous snake right now and yet she won't freak out. Or a huge bear but she will just fight it off, have a roaring challenge. Or- or she-"
"Would you shut up?" i groaned. I had enough of him. I mean i do love him but nooooo. He has to be this annoying. Ugh, why do i keep up with him?!
"Are you annoyed?" Marcus said, a teasing glint, obvious in his eyes and tone.
"Isn't it-" and before i could continue, i got cut off
"Isn't it obvoius daddy, she's inlove!" he said in a very hight pitch tone.
"Did you just-" again, i got cut off
"Did i just quote The Little Mermaid? Of course i did! Who do you think i am biatch?" he exclaimed.
I sighed. Oh my goodness, this is gonna be a long long day.

"Woah, why the heck haven't you brought me here before?!"

The sound of water falling into a glossy sheet of pond echoed our surrounding. The rays of sunshine reflecting back on the waterfall making it shine like a crystal.

"It's my safe sanctuary" i said softly not wanting to bother the peaceful day of the nearby forest animals. Carefully sitting on a rock by the pond and proceeding to tuck my legs, my arms around them.
As careful as i sat down, Marcus just plopped heavily on the ground beside the rock.

We spent the next few minutes in sheer silence.

"Hey have you heard of Andrew?" Marco broke the silence.
"Is he the one who lead a group during one of our training?"
"Yup, that's the one"
"What happened?" i asked, curiosity getting the best of me.
"They keep saying that he found his mate. I didn't believe them at first but it was confirmed when i saw the two of them by the garden a while ago."
"Oh" was all i said. My mind going elsewhere.

"El?" i heard him ask. I already knew what he was going to ask without him actually saying it. It was clear in the way he asked.
"I don't know Marco. I don't need a mate, you know that"
"We all need a mate El, one way or another" finality in his voice but i'm not having any of it.
"No Marky, i don't want one not now. Period"

A second passed without any of us speaking. When i thought that he was gonna let it pass this time, i heard him murmur.

"'I don't want one' she said, 'i already love him even though i haven't met him yet' she meant"

Walking out of the training grounds to get ready for the meeting, i breathed out a heavy sigh.

I really wish i won't meet my mate, yet

I was knocked out of my thoughts when i bumped into a child.

"Oh i'm so sorry miss. It was an accident" a little girl said. She was around 7 or 8 years old but looked pretty mature for her age.
"It's fine. Just look where you're going next time. Some people here are not as nice as me"
"Okay! My name's Rosaline"she said showing a toothy smile. Hmm, she's missing a tooth.
"Hi Rosaline. Are you from the Southern pack?"
"Yeah i am! My big bro is the Alpha"
"Oh really?" Well okay then. This little girl has an alpha blood in her. That explains it.
"Well i gotta go, yeah? Remind you, you have to be careful okay? Bye Rosaline"
"Okay bye!!"

Well, she's an interesting girl i must say. I wondet if his brother is the same.

I knocked on the wooden door of the office.

A second later, the door was opened by my uncle.

"Hey there Elise"
"Hello" i simply greeted.
"Come in and we'll discuss some topics before the actual meeting"

A few minutes of going over what really need to happen about the said alliance, a knock came on the door. Just when it opened, a scent came over to me and wrapped around me like a soft blanket.

"Good evening Alpha Leo. I'm sorry for coming on a short notice but it was a matter about both of our packs that is needed to be discussed."

Alpha Leo said something but my mind is already drifting somewhere far away. It's definitely a good thing that my back is facing the door.

Oh Selene, please don't tell me he is-

My internal battle was cut off by Uncle introducing me.

Oh god, i'm definetely not ready for this.

I sent a quick prayer to Selene before slowly turning around.

Oh my good goddess.

No matter how many prayers i sent to the moon goddess, it won't definitely help me come over the shock the enveloped me.

I wasn't ready. No, i will never be. Especially now that i found a pair of golden yellow eyes staring right back at me.

It also didn't help the fact that we both muttered something in our breaths at the same time. A word that will forever haunt my mind and will definitely leave me rigid throughout the whole meeting. A word that i'm not looking forward to, not when it was the topic Marco and I were just going on about.

This was so far the longest chapter i had written. What the heck?!😂 I was definitely not expecting that.

Woah!! What happened there? She met her maaaaatttteeeee. What?! I wonder who it is.
