Jess lets out a horrifying scream telling her to calm down, I put my hand around her mouth, muffling her screams until she stops. "Now, I'm going to take my hand off your mouth promise your not going to scream?" I state preparing myself for another blood curling scream from my younger sister
"I promise" she muffles making it barely audible to tell what she said but I take my hand off her mouth anyways.
I cautiously walk over to the green and brown bushes and start to plough through all the different colour leaves. "Boo!" a red head jumped out at Jess and I, a huge toothy grin on his face."CHARLIE!!! You scared me" Jess says with a giggle.
Charlie is one of my best friends he's also our neighbour on 176 pinefield road it's always a quiet town except for one man, he doesn't exactly have a home but he does have his own little space but I'll save you the long story about how that man wound up where he is. Basically he fell in love to a very wealthy girl who gave him a good job that paid exceptionally well, got married but never had any kids, he later found out that his wife was seeing one of his co workers, they immediately got into a fight which later ended to them divorcing. She took all the money and fired him from his job. He now lives on the corner of my road with his dog "ahahah....that....was.....good" Charlie between laughs. "ya man very funny" ah sarcasm you have to love it sometimes and right now I absolutely adored it. "Well I'd love to stay but I have to go now stupid homework see ya tomorrow at the ball game" Carlie said as he runs to his house I quickly say my goodbye to Charlie as I watch Jess go into the 14 year old blue and white house. I walk in the old glass door, creaking with each push.
Laying my baseball bat on the coffee table next to my dads dodge ram car keys on a Blue Jays key ring I quickly shout a "Hey were home" then proceed to take off my jacket and hang it on to the old coat rack "Dinners almost ready can you help me set the table?" my mom says yelling from the kitchen. I walk in the kitchen, while Jess is getting the drinks I set the table carefully placing down each glass, last time I tried to set the table I broke three glasses trying to balance them on my arm. Placing the hot chicken on the table next to the carrots and the macaroni salad, my dad sits down for what I can tell a great dinner.
Later I finish my supper and go to my room where all the walls are supposed to be blue but you can't see it because of all the Blue Jays poster "I want to be like them someday" I say with a hope in my voice. " And you will be" peering over my shoulder I see my dad leaning on the white rims of my door. "I don't think so did you see me out on that field I missed every throw." I complained. "True but if you practice you can be just as good as them I can even help." The man suggests a small smile forming in his lips "Thanks dad" I walk over and hug him. "Now you get to bed you have a game tomorrow" "Thanks again goodnight" I say as I turn on my lamp. "Night Robert" my dad whispers as he turns of the big light in my blue jay covered wall room leaving only a slight glow coming from the recently illuminated lamp. My clock and it's green numbers which say 11:57. Realizing that now would be a good time I turn over in my blue sheets and shut my eyes for a well nights rest. Eventually I stopped and stared at my plain white ceiling. Thinking and drifting away into a deep thought. Lots of thoughts were running through my head but there was one that I kept in my mind all the time. How will I die? Strange I know but it always fascinated me wondering how it will happen. Cancer? Old age? Murder? I stayed awake counting the hours many thoughts crossing my mind but I always know that, that questing will always find its way into my mind, creeping in like a mouse trying to get cheese from a human.
