You Could Be Mine

Epilogue

The notes were written for Slash and Duff. One was for the person she wanted to be with and one was for the person she loved, but could not be with. She listened to her own thoughts and feelings and the notes were written saying this.....

Letter #1:
I write you this to tell you some things. I felt they needed to be said, I can't fight this anymore. I love you, but I cannot be with you. I love him with all my being and I have to be with him. He is who I was meant to be with. I'm sorry. I love you. I always will. I can't really write this because as I do I am crying. My vision is being blinded by the tears, but I need to make this decision. I can't explain how sorry I am this letter is for you.

Letter #2:
I decided to let you know some things. I let him know that I cannot be with him, so I decided to tell you I love you, I always have and I want to be with you the rest of my life. You are my one and only. I should have told you sooner when it was needed, but I felt troubled inside. I felt conflicting things, but now I know you're the one. I am in love with you. Always have been. Please know I never lied about my feelings, they are real.

She wrote on two envelopes, one for Slash, one for Duff. She looked at both letters again before placing them in the envelopes. She felt tears just falling from her eyes. She felt like this was the right thing to do. She felt like she was betraying him, but she didn't want to spend the rest of her life with someone she didn't fully love. She loved one person and one person only. She folded the first letter up to slide it into the envelope. She licked it to seal it. Then she placed the second letter into the second envelope sealing that one as well.

She looked down at the one she placed the first letter and picked it up leaving it on Duff's nightstand. She couldn't be with him and she knew it, and hell he knew it too. Slash was her true love who she was suppose to be with forever. She grabbed the second letter, declaring her devotion and love to Slash. She wanted to hand it to him, but she never lived to see him read it. In heaven she watched down as he did and she cried with her parents holding her in their arms. Slash was suppose to be hers for the rest of their lives, but it was too late.
