{Kaneki's POV}

After making the coffees, I brought them into the living room and sat them down on the table.
"Arigato." Y/n smiled.
I nodded as Hide said, "Thanks dude."

I sat down on my sofa and looked at Hide.
"Kaneki." He smiled at me.
Then, I heard Y/n's beautiful voice say, "Do you guys want me to leave? I don't mind, because I want what's best for both of you."

Hide shook his head as I replied,"No, love... It's okay."
She nodded and smiled as I smiled back at her.
"So, Hide..." I started.
It was quite awkward, because we haven't seen each other in a long time.
"Mmmmh..." Hide hummed, looking at the floor.

My head turned swiftly to Y/n as she gasped and shot up from her seat.
"Y/n- Chan...?" I whispered as her sparkling e/c orbs widened.
"CCG!" She shouted.
"What about them?" Hide asked, looking up at her.
"T-they... Are in town!" Y/n said, biting her lip and looking down at me.

My grey orbs widened as I shouted, "What!?"
"Yes, they are eradicating ghouls in town!" She shouted, rushing out of the living room.
I stood up and glanced at Hide, who looked stood up and looked worriedly at me.
"I wish we could carry on talking, Hide, but I need to go." I said.

I was shocked as he walked over to me and pulled me in for a hug.

"H-hide...?" I questioned my friend.
"Please... Be safe." He said before letting go of me and walking to the hallway.
I smiled and nodded as he exited the house.
I was guessing Y/n had already left.

I quickly went upstairs to get changed into my outfit that I usually wore when fighting, and also put on my mask.

{Normal POV}

After changing into the outfit you usually wore when fighting,

You sprinted into town. You forgot to mention that the CCG were investigating town to everyone else.
Well, it was on the news, so you guessed they would've found out.

After getting there, you quickly hid behind a wall and peeked out, putting your mask on.

(Again, not everyone may like it, and I apologize for that.)

"Pssst, Y/n- Chan." Someone called.
Your eyes widened as you turned around to see the Anteiku staff, in their masks.
"Guys! What are you doing here?" You whispered.
"Uh, helping. What does it look like?" Nishiki sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Where's Kaneki?" Touka asked, looking at you.
You turned back around and whispered, "He should be coming..."

{Kaneki's POV}

I ran over rooftops until I saw three familiar figures standing behind a wall. I breathed in and jumped down, smelling my loved ones scent.
"Hey." I said, making them all jump in shock.
"Baka!" Touka whisper shouted, making me giggle.
"You scared me." Y/n said, sighing and turning back round.

"I scare lots of people..." I muttered.
Nishiki nodded and said, "You got that right."
"When would be a good time to go out?" I asked.
We were all silent for a few moments before Touka-

"Now!!!" She shouted, activating her Ukakua kagune and running out.
"Tch, Touka...!" Nishiki said through gritted teeth, as he activated his bikaku kagune and rushed out after her.

I walked over to Y/n, who looked worried and squeezed her hand.
"We can do this." I reassured her.
"I just... Don't want to loose you." She said, her voice trembling in tears.
I looked down into her beautiful e/c orbs.
I couldn't die... I have to protect her.
She gives me a reason to live,
To smile,
To... Be happy.

"I won't die." I smiled.
She looked up at me and kissed my cheek." Be safe." She smiled.
I nodded and said, "You too, my love."
She activated her kagune and kagugan as I did the same.
"Ready?" I asked.
"Ready." Y/n said firmly.

And with that, we both took off running towards the CCG.

Y/n ran to the left, as I ran to the right, slicing CCG investigators with my kagune.
I hope she'll be okay... I thought, leaping up onto a car.

{Normal POV}

You ran and leaped over swinging quinques.
You gasped and gritted your teeth as one of them sliced your leg.
You landed on your feet somehow and used your arm for support.
Glaring, you looked at the CCG investigator who had a smirk on his smug face.

"Well, well, well... What do we have here?" He asked, walking over to you and holding his sword-like quinque in his hands.
You stood up straight and rested your Rinkakus on the floor, catching your breath.

"Time to die~" He sang.

Your eyes widened as the quinque swung closer to you...
