{Kaneki's POV}

It had been two weeks now, and Y/n was still in a coma, gripping onto what little life she had left.
I didn't want her to leave me.
She didn't deserve this.
I didn't realize her fall was that bad...

But why? How? Why was she going to die because of a... Fall?
Yes, I understand that she may of been shocked, but surely she would've just... Fainted, right?

I wasn't sure, so I headed to the hospital to check on my girlfriend and get answers from the doctor.

|Time skip|

After arriving in Y/n's hospital room, I could hear the sound of some clicking.
I looked to my left to see the doctor, typing away on his computer.
Breaking the silence, I bowed and said, "Hello doctor."
The doctor hummed and looked up at me, smiling.
"Why hello there." He said, turning his chair to face me." What are you doing here?"

I replied, "I wanted to talk to you."
He nodded his head." About?"
"Y/n." I replied, glancing over at her.
She was getting more pale every second, and her breathing was becoming uneasy...
"Go ahead." The doctor said, leaning back in his chair.

"How is she going to die after a small fall?" I asked, sitting down in a chair that was next to a window, that showed the view of Tokyo.
"Well, I wasn't sure either, so we had to run a few tests on her to come up with a conclusion." The doctor said, placing a pen down on his desk.

"And that conclusion was...?" I asked, staring at him as he tapped his foot in a calm mannor.
"She was shocked, and hurt." He said, closing his eyes.
My heart stopped for a second.
Shocked and... Hurt...?
"Shocked and hurt?" I asked, needing more information.

"I shouldn't say anything else." The doctor muttered, turning around to face his computer again.
"No, doctor. Please." I pleaded, looking back at Y/n again.
He sighed and said, "It's classified."
I knitted my eyebrows together in annoyance and confusion.
"So telling me why the love of my life is going to die soon is classified information!?" I practically yelled, clenching my fists together on my knees as I tightly shut my eyes.

"I'm sorry, Kaneki. There's not much I can say." The doctor replied, grabbing a sheet of paper.
"Why not?" I asked firmly, opening my eyes to glare at him.
"I've already told you, the information is classified." The doctor said again, turning to me and sighing.

I sighed in defeat and stood up, taking a quick glance at Y/n before walking over to the doctor.
"If you don't tell me, I'll rip your organs out." I threatened.
I watched as his eyes widened slightly.
"What kind of human would do that!?" He asked, obviously taken aback at my sudden tone of voice.

My voice had venom laced around it.
"Just tell me." I hissed through gritted teeth.
"... As I've told you-" He started, but I got so fed up, that I wrapped my hand around his neck tightly, digging my nails into his flesh, drawing blood.
His eyes widened in shock as he lifted his arms up to try and get my arm off of his neck.

I smiled smugly as he tried to gasp for breath, but was not successful.
"P-please- *cough*" He choked out.
I sighed and let go, licking his blood off of my nails as he gasped for breath.
After catching his breath, he looked up at me in horror and fear.
"So, are you going to tell me?" I asked again, cracking my finger.

"Alright! But just tell me this." He cried.
I looked down at him and said, "Yes?"
"What kind of human has enough strength to draw blood like that!?" The doctor shrieked, sweat dripping off of his forehead.

I thought for a moment and replied, "I have no clue."
"You are not human." He started, looking at me suspiciously.
"And you are not fit to be a doctor." I said back, making him glare at me.
"So, tell me." I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

I waited before he explained it to me. I wasn't sure why the information was classified though.
Y/n was going to die because she was shocked and hurt, also upset.
I wanted to know more, but he wouldn't tell me.

I would've killed him right there and then if I felt motivated too, but I didn't... I sighed and nodded, giving up.
I knew that I shouldn't, but what could you do at a time like this?
I glanced at my beloved once more before opening the door and walking out of her room, not bothering to apologize to the doctor, who looked like he was waiting for one.

Please live, my darling. I thought, a single tear slipping out of my left eye.
