You were just finishing your shift at Anteiku, when Nishiki came over to you and tapped you on the shoulder.
You hummed and tied your hair back before turning your head to look at him.

"Y/n." He said, adjusting his glasses.
"Yes?" You asked, curious as to what your friend had to say.
"Do you know if Touka has spoken to Kaneki yet?" He asked. You thought you saw a hint of worry in his eyes.
".... No." You whispered, biting your lip once again.
"So what happened with you guys?" Nishiki asked, concerned.

You shook your head and said," Look, Nishiki. It's been a long day, and I've finished my shift... So I'd appreciate it if I could go home now."
Nishiki turned his mouth into a 'o' shape before saying, "Uh... Yeah, I'm sorry. Go ahead."
You smiled at him before walking out of the small coffee shop.

Once out, you breathed in the cold air of the night, that stuck to your skin.
You begun walking to your apartment, when you heard a noise.
You stopped and listened, looking around.
That's when another noise came.
"I know she's here..." A voice hissed.
"Yeah... She should be... Keep it down." Another voice whispered.

You raised an eyebrow, but continued to walk to your apartment.
Once finally there, you smiled sadly and unlocked your door, walking in and closing it behind you.
"Kaneki... What did I do?" You whispered, looking down at the floor as you made your way into the kitchen to make coffee.

It was then you got a vibration from your phone.
Fishing it out from your pocket of your blouse, you turned it on to see who it was.
Your eyes widened at the name that appeared on the screen.
"Kaneki..."

A tear slid down your cheek as you opened up the message.
Deep down, you still loved him, and wanted to forgive him, but you didn't know how.

Kaneki:
Hey, Y/n...
Read just now.

Y/n:
Yes, Ken?
Read just now.

Kaneki:
May I come round...?
Read just now.

Y/n:
If you must...
Read just now.

Kaneki:
Okay, thanks. I'll be over in about ten minutes.
Read just now.

Y/n:
Okay... See you soon.
Read just now.

You sighed and switched off your phone.
"What does he want...?" You muttered as you proceeded to brew the coffee.

About ten minutes later, there was a knock at your door.
You sighed and stood up from your sofa, making your way into the hallway.
Once there, you slowly reached for the door handle and opened it.
There, in front of you, stood a white haired male, looking upset and guilty.

"Kaneki." You said, making him look up at you.
"... May I come in?" He asked.
"Sure." You replied, stepping aside for him to come through.
Kaneki stepped up, and into your house.
Once he was in, you shut the door behind you before turning around to face him.

"W-would you like to come and sit down?" You stuttered, staring down at the floor.
Kaneki felt the need to lift up your beautiful face, and kiss your soft, luscious lips.
But, instead he said, "Yes please..."

You both walked into the living room and sat down, an awkward silence filling the room.
"Kaneki..." You whispered, looking over at him.
He looked back and you and said, "Yeah?"
You took a deep breath before saying,

"Do you love me...?"
