°9- The person at the shop°

"I do have a best friend..." Kaneki whispered, looking sad.
You had a look that said, 'go on...'
"His name is Hideyoshi Nagachika, but he lets everyone call him Hide. He has been my best friend ever since we were about four. I don't think he knows about me being a ghoul, despite the many years we've been friends."

You nodded and patted his hand." He sounds like a nice friend."
"He is, he's the best... I just don't know where he is right now." Kaneki said, looking up and smiling sadly.
"I hope you find him..." You whispered.

Kaneki breathed in before changing the subject, "I should go now..."
"O-okay..."
"I'll see you soon?" Kaneki asked.
You nodded and grabbed his collar.
He blushed and stared at you.

You smirked and pressed your lips against his. Kaneki blushed and kissed you back.
A few moments later, you pulled away.
"Heheh. I love you." You said.
Kaneki smiled and replied, "I love you too."

|The next day|

You woke up to the sun streaming through your window.
You smiled and felt the warm rays on your face.
Sitting up, you rubbed your eyes and opened them, yawning.
After stretching and waking up, you grabbed your phone from the cabnit, which was next to your bed.

Checking the date, you smiled because it was your day off.
"Ah, another day off." You said, getting out of bed and walking into your bathroom to have a shower.

|Time skip|

After having a shower and getting ready, you decided to go into your living room and make coffee.
You were also quite hungry, and wondered if you had any suicide vitimans left.

Walking into the kitchen, you opened up a cupboard, and groaned to find it empty.
"Ugh, no food or coffee... Looks like I need to go to Anteiku and to the shops." You sighed, closing the cupboard.
"Well, at least it gets me out. Maybe I should take my mask just in case?" You suggested to yourself.

You decided it was a safe option to take your mask, just in case you bumped into any CCG investigators.
Packing your bag, you slipped on your shoes and headed out.
Since it was hot, you didn't need a coat.

After walking down streets and roads for a few minutes, you came across Anteiku.
Opening the door, you walked in and made your way over to the counter.
"Welcome to Ante- oh, hello Y/n- Chan. What brings you here?" No other than Nishiki asked.

You smiled at him and whispered, "Hi, Nishiki-San. I've ran out."
"Eh?" Nishiki looked at you confused.
You sighed and said, "I've ran out of 'food'."
Nishiki nodded and replied, "Ah, I get you. Follow me."
You did as he said and walked to the room where flesh was secretly stored.

"How much do you need?" Nishiki asked, looking over at you.
You thought for a moment before replying, "Only about five packs."
Nishiki nodded and grabbed five packs of flesh.
"Arigato." You smiled as Nishiki closed the door.
"No problem." He smiled back.

"How much?" You asked, about to get your purse.
Nishiki firmly grabbed your arm and said, "You work here, plus, your my friend. You don't need to pay, I'm only trying to help."
You looked at him for a moment before smiling and saying, "Thanks..."

"It's alright."
"See you soon." You said, patting his shoulder and walking past him.
"Yeah, see you." Nishiki said and walked behind the counter, only to be met with customers complaining about the wait.
You giggled as you heard Nishiki shout at them to shut up.

Opening the door, you placed the flesh in your bag and headed to the shop to get some coffee and other items.

After walking for a few moments, you came across a shop.
You pushed open the door and immediately scrunched up your nose as the smell of human food lingered in the air.
Ugh... As soon as I get coffee, I'm outta here. You said, gulping and walking into the drinks isle.

Looking up, you groaned and tried to reach the coffee.
"Why does everything have to be so high up...?" You muttered to yourself, continuing to struggle.
Your eyes widened as you felt a weight on your back.

Once you no longer felt the weight, you spun around to see a male with blonde hair and black roots, smiling down at you and holding the coffee.
"Here you are, miss." He said, handing you the coffee.
You bowed and took the coffee.

"Arigato. I really appreciate it." You said, smiling up at the male.
"Say, miss. What's your name?" He asked.
You hesitated, but replied, "Y/n, Y/n Y/l/n."
You watched as his hazel eyes widened.
"Is everything alright, sir?" You asked, worried.

A few seconds later, the male snapped back into reality and looked down at you." Yes, I'm sine. Hehehe. Sorry about that."
"May I ask you what your name is?" You asked, staring up at the blonde haired male.

He looked into your e/c orbs and replied,

"Hideyoshi Nagachika, but please, call me Hide."
