Hermione walked past the other three bedrooms and stopped in front of the door displaying her and Draco's name; well, it was actually just his surname. She took a deep breath and prepared herself – she had no idea why she was so nervous.
Probably because behind this door is the room you'll be sharing with the ferret.
She felt a tingling sensation spread through her body at the thought of sharing a room with Draco; it was exciting yet terrifying.
She reached for the golden handle and pushed the door open, gasping at what she saw inside. It was beautiful, there's no denying that, but it was yet another reminder of what the future held for her. Everything was surreal.
The bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated. It was bright and full of light but still gave Hermione the warm and cosy feeling of home. It had walls painted with a variety of browns and a marble tile floor with a large rug that looked very comfortable under the two beds in the middle. The bedding was a combination of gold, beige and white silk, which matched the walls perfectly. A vintage chandelier hung from the ceiling and created patterns around the room when it was turned on.
There were large windows and a balcony that looked over the black lake and the mountains around it. She could just imagine waking up with the morning sun greeting her and walking out onto the balcony to start her day.
There were three doors in the room, one leading to a bathroom they shared with the couple in the next room, the second opened to the balcony and behind the third door was a wardrobe large enough to comfortably fit the clothing of both Hermione and Draco.
Hermione's favourite piece in the room was a bookshelf in the corner that made her bookworm senses tingle in excitement. She noticed a few books that she was very eager to start reading. It was perfect in all ways but one, she shared it with Malfoy.
Hermione closed the door behind her and walked over to her trunk which was already placed on her side of the closet.
Might as well start unpacking.
She sighed in defeat and neatly placed her clothing on the shelves of the cupboard. The job was done in no time at all and Hermione decided to take a much-needed shower to relax her tense muscles. It hadn't exactly been the quietest week so far – so much had changed in only a few days.
"We're going to watch a movie, you coming?" Hermione jumped at the deep voice behind her.
She turned around to look at Draco. He was already in his night clothes – long emerald green silk bottoms and a plain white short-sleeved top that complimented his defined muscles perfectly. His hair was slightly damp because he had just showered, which made him look surprisingly attractive.
Okay, that's a lie. He's ALWAYS attractive, Hermione just won't admit it.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." He winked, making her insides churn and her cheeks burn a bright pink as she blushed.
"Uh...y-yeah, just give me a moment to shower and put my PJ's on. I won't be long." She diverted her ogling eyes from his body and answered him.
Once he was gone, Hermione turned away from the door and took a deep breath, trying to calm the feeling he had just given her. A tingling sensation grew in her abdomen and spread all over her body at the sight of him.
Draco Malfoy will be the end of me. She silently groaned.
Hermione quickly stripped down and grabbed her towel, running to the bathroom linked to the room next to theirs and locked both doors. She quickly showered and put on her night clothes. It was a simple black T-shirt and short – nothing to extravagant or revealing. She towel-dried her hair and made it into a damp ponytail before running to join the others in the common room.
